@benmoosmann: Single pivot designs do not isolate rear braking forces from changing the suspension performance. There is no way around that without floating the caliper and attaching a pivoting reaction arm to the frame. The Horst link patent is expired, there is no reason for single pivot design.

I've never owned a road bike, being a converted dirt bike rider. I've been riding in lycra for more than 30 years when it is warm. When you live where it is warm and sunny (definitely not the UK) baggy shorts are too hot.

Yes it is a "true four-bar" linkage. Pivots are only one way to connect the bars. Sliding connections can also be used. A Macpherson struts are a type of four bar linkage.

Rocky Mountain Recalls 2018 Altitude, Instinct, and Pipeline Models for Brake Issue
Under the bottom bracket cables is for road bikes and vintage mountain bikes. RM is a great company, but the last bike I had with cables under the BB was my 1987 Stumpjumper and I will never buy another with the cables in such a dumb place. My 1997 Element TO had great cable routing.
