Nah definitely before that, I'd guess '95-96 ish for a C2. Then the O2 looked similar but was self adjusting, so no dial, about 97-98ish, then by the early 00's the the reservoirs were integrated and more conventional looking, the moto and mono levers.

Do we know if there are any functional differences between deore and xt this time? The cage looks a bit different, a bit more profiled on the xt, but all the plastic mouldings look identical.

What is it? Trek? I used to ride a Gary Fisher Joshua, that shared the exact same URT swing arm and a generally similar front 'triangle', but I think a fair few other Trek umbrella brands used the same back end, maybe Schwinn?
