Would love a more trail builder / maintainer focused gear article. The silky mount is a great idea. Sometimes i struggle with that or how to pack trail boss pieces without using some giant bag.

New Bikes, Nerding Out on Geo, and Reader Questions
Have a Steezl and SST. They are quite different bikes. I enjoy long dumb days on each but the steezl is just very good at high speed and is more purpose built for gnar. SST is just a trail weapon that rewards playful poppy riding but can also do it all, just gets a lot more hung up in high speed chunk.
