I'm a tad unsure what you're getting at with that comment, what does your shock have to do with it? All that's being claimed is that a sealed unit with (some, not loads) of back pressure helps to LIMIT cavitation when compared to an open bath design. It doesn't say ERADICATE cavitation

Oh really, that's so interesting! What evidence do you have to back up your claim of BS? Because Craig from avalanche suspension (who I'm guessing is far more knowledgeable than you on the matter) seems to disagree with you... "Sealed dampers with a pressurized damper oil prevents cavitation (bubbles) from forming under extreme damping conditions, this generally provides more consistant damping" Taken from a post on mtbr forum linked in a comment on this article.
