Review: NX Eagle - SRAM's New Affordable 12-Speed Drivetrain
This is big deal, particularly for any riders that were still running 2x drive trains. Once you take off the front derailure and the second ring the weight difference is pretty much zero and you get to simplify your system and run the most up to date drive train. All for less than $400. Pretty awesome. These are the type of developments and releases that probably aren’t huge money makers in and of themselves for companies but have a big impact in creating the impression that the company is rider focused, and is decoupling products for average joes just as much for wold cup competitors.

Recon Gen-2 R5 Shuttle Rack – Review
$1200 for a six bike rack?!?!...You can buy a bungie net at home depot for $10 and easily hold six bikes on the roof of your car. #typicalpinkbikecomment

Fly Racing's 2017 MTB Collection
Fly puts out some of the best kit availble every year...but is it just me or does all of this years stuff (with the exception of the Ripa Jersey) look like more Fox apparel (which is generally some of the more generic/meh stuff available)? I don't really like any of this.

Shimano Announces Affordable Deore M6000 Group and a Wide Range SLX Option
It's Festivus for the rest-uv-us!!! Which is appropriate because the pinkbike comment section has been an "open airing of grievances" since its inception.

Specialized Enduro Pro Shorts and Enduro Comp Jersey - Review
@nohit45: I think it was a golf shirt, but he was totally wearing the mom jeans for sure. He was also wearing the i'm-a-dad-who-has-given-up-on-style-generic-running-shoes. Terrible "active wear" is a staple of all presidents regardless of their party or policy.

@CSharp: interesting confluence of concepts...I think jeans and a dress shirt is exactly the clothing that Trump would wear to ride a bike.

Specialized Enduro Pro Shorts and Enduro Comp Jersey - Review
Somebody pinch me. I just read all the way through the comments on a bike clothing review on pinkbike and didn't read a single comment in this range: "$XXX.XX for a jersey, are you kidding. I got a (choose one: flannel/moto/t-shirt) for (choose one: half that price/a couple bucks/waaaay cheaper than that) and it has lasted me 10 seasons. I say, save your money and spend it on (insert preferred bike component that you beilive to be THE most overlooked bike component available)" Slow clap pinkbike users slow clap. Seeing this happen here made me wonder what other impossible outcomes could be on the horizon...maybe Trump will actually make America great again.
