Trek Voluntarily Imposes E-Bike Speed Limits
@Markks: the EU isn't enforcing any peak power as best I can tell, only nominal. Enforcing peak would make a big difference. And yes, some people would find a work around. EU regs could also fail any product that doesn't improve the security over time. Or fine them.

Trek Voluntarily Imposes E-Bike Speed Limits
I'd rather see a competent governing body (EU, US CSPC) come in and regulate all of it - wattage (750W max peak), torque (95 Nm), max assist (300%?) and speed (20mph). The companies can't be relied upon to do this on their own.

Specialized Levo R Review: Does a Short Travel, Full Power eMTB Make Sense?
@Mtn-Goat-13: I agree with you but also the original commenter. I sure as hell would't pay 13k or whatever for this or any Levo right now. But I agree with you - I have a Rise with a craptastic Shimano motor neutered to deliver a measly 65Nm, and its more than enough. I'd recommend some of the Marin's right now - deep discounts on an already well priced bike with a good motor and spec. Done.

Specialized Levo R Review: Does a Short Travel, Full Power eMTB Make Sense?
they have a lot of Levo's they need to sell before the launch of the new ebike next spring... they aren't selling at full pop. expect crazy discounts when the time comes.

High Bars vs Low Bars: Which Setup Wins World Cup DH Races?
I think Reece would argue that one of the keys to this is sizing up in frames, ideally with a proportionally longer RC too. Taking your existing frame and running a -15 stem with 50mm rise doesn't seem a recipe for success.
