16 Rare and Funky Finds from the Pinkbike BuySell
@hackonwheels: that rings a bell. Their bikes were notoriously heavy and complex as well as pricey, seemingly designed for Bender-style hucks and little else while the market moved towards light & nimble (or: 28kg downhill bikes) Similar to the Yeti 303 with that rail that almost broke their back iirc. A bit much focus on hot & crazy and a bit little focus on "how many ways can this break?!". There are many brands that died out from back then. BMW was one of the most memorable brands, though.

@bonfire: front derailleur or chainguide? Or even front derailleur without the cable as chainguide. Good times.

@suspended-flesh: oh they are beautiful! Mine is unused since I switched handlebars and it didn't fit, now it's just a beautiful memory of the good ol' NSX / Crank / NWD freeride-days that shaped me in so many ways.

I visited them back in 2004 or 2005 when I was in the US for the first time, got to ride their DH bike up and down the road outside of their shop in Brooklyn. And I *still* have the BMW t-shirt and stem that I bought there and then. Judging by the asking price of that bike that stem is now my most valuable bike component.

Seb's Day 2 Randoms - Eurobike 2026
You have to love the weirdly mounted pull-shock, fully exposed to all mud, gravel, and the odd treestump to come its way, low center of gravity is totally worth the rebuild after every ride! ...oh and we also mounted a gas bottle, just to bring the center of gravity aaaaaaaall the way up again :*

Must Watch: Gee Atherton in Ridgeline VII: Nepal
Insanely good. I immediately thought of the old school movies (ride to the hills, Roam, NWO...). Also, I great to see he's no longer in 100 pieces after that previous ridgeline crash. Seems like he did a full recovery and then some.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt - are you blind? Your comment suggests so. Because the thumbnail of this post, the picture in the article, as well as the video linked in the article show you the formation of how they are riding (roughly 3x4) as well as the car next to them.

Eurobike Organisers Face Criticism of its Future Plans as Bosch & German Trade Groups Pull Support
"We could not see that both operators were equally committed to supporting the measures that would be necessary to make the trade fair fit for the future of the bicycle industry." Soooo are prices too high or is Eurobike going into a non-bikey direction? A bit mirky as an outside, does anyone know more?
