Typically this is solved with a "sacrificial anode" which because of the metal to metal contact with the crank spindle is probably enough material to have the whole thing's charge/rust-creationability distributed over a large enough area the effect wouldn't be noticeable.
IDK, does that sound smort? Makes sense to me

Must Watch: Braydon Bringhurst Is Incredible Riding Up, Down & Switch-Footed in 'ALL WAYS'
Absolutely incredible riding, many moments where I was getting my mind blown hoping to see a second shot of it, just to have the next shot blow my mind too!
That nose 180/bonk/rollback into the drop at 2:53 was god tier.

Rant: This gives me nostalgia for when advertisements made sense.
Here's what we made and here's why it's good.
No aspirational marketing showing how my family will go on a vacation with a disposable camera and then our dog jumps in the water splashing on the screen to fade to some over-focus grouped lipstick for the same pig which is now 3 times the cost and half the size. Then it requires you to provide a blood sample and sign your firstborn away to log into their app which the thing is useless without.

I don't think it's an actual flexible part (meaning a substantial amount of flex). It says "Flexpoint suspension"
Look at it, it's pretty beefy. Probably just some marketing name for the shock layout.
