Pinkbike Poll: Would You Pay to Watch World Cup DH Racing?
I watch the WSL (World Surf League) world tour and it's all 100-% free to watch on youtube. The coverage is far more, live streaming of all the heats right up to the finals. Hours and hours of viewing per event. There are cut downs of heats and single days' highlights. There are pre-produced stories as part of the broadcast, multiple cameras set up in difficult and remote locations, drones, and presenters etc. Just because people are used to paying for UFC or something similar, does not mean that is the only way to do it or the best model. Clearly, it's possible to do it for free.
