Pinkbike Poll: What Would You Upgrade On Your Current Mountain Bike?
At 42 with 2 young children I'm lucky to get out for 2 - 4 hrs a week. It's funny how when I was younger I didn't worry about upgrades too much but could ride whenever, but now obsess over having a fancy bike that I rarely get to ride.

5 Things We Learned at EWS Madeira 2019
@Veloscente: yeh, I take your point of the bigger picture. It's impossible to please everyone - in a perfect world we would all be integrated together in harmony as one 'human race' (world peace would have been declared and greed/crime wouldn't exist). I think that it is easier for people who are better off with a comfortable (pampered?) lifestyle to think this way, but (unfortunately) that isn't the real world. Because of that, I can also see the other side of the argument and can't really blame people for wanting charity to start at home - they're only human after all. Here's hoping that eventually we can all evolve to fulfill the dream though.

5 Things We Learned at EWS Madeira 2019
@tobiusmaximum: People seem far more sensitive these days than they used to be. A by-product of a pampered lifestyle?

Video: French Mountain Biker Goes Viral After Almost Crashing into A Group of Students
Reminds me of that 2006 Mike Judge film Idiocracy. It's slowly becoming reality.

Video: Muc-Off Launches Bike Specific Pressure Washer
@igxqrrl: Try a 3L or 5L garden water sprayer with manual pump. Available from Ebay for around £10. Just bought one - great for keeping the kids entertained in the garden too.

I don't know, but the words near the beginning sound like they were saying "heavy" over and over. Appropriate for an e-bike ad.

First Look: Manitou's 180mm Mezzer Pro Fork and Mara Pro Shock - Garda Trentino 2019
@mtbikeaddict: I've had Hayes stroker trail (carbon) for nearly 10 years with no major issues. They were good brakes. Only upgraded to save some weight.

First Look: Manitou's 180mm Mezzer Pro Fork and Mara Pro Shock - Garda Trentino 2019
Historically Manitou forks were unreliable. I had a Manitou Minute fork around 2007 which went wrong very quickly. Very lightweight (for the time), but not at all robust. That was a looong time ago now though and the latest crop are top notch by all accounts. 2kg with 37mm stanchions and adjustabletravel? Yes please.

Curtis Bikes' New Thumpercross Steel Downhill Bike - Bespoked Show 2019
@getsomesy: I've owned 2 Curtis frames. The first was one of their (lightweight) racelight frames which I managed to fold in half through a freak a accident where I took off of a jump and landed the front wheel into the base of a tree. The weld points remained solid though. Moved to their standard jump frame which I thrashed the s**t out of for years and is still fine (came with a lifetime warrenty in 2007). These bikes are bomb proof. A friend of mine actually bought one of the very first incarnations of the Thumpercross over 10 years ago. Let's just say this latest version is a considerable improvement- it looks great and the bb isn't 17 inches from the ground any more.
