@ves: But DH is controlled because of potential accidents. Marshalls are there to keep spectators off the track. The courses are designed to not catch anyone out dangerously where they can be, and a medical team is on standby. Crowd control in les gets needs stepping up a notch. That's all.

@ciechan: I'm all for free will and will defend free speech until I die, but sometimes there's a fine line between freedom and stupidity. This is an accident waiting to happen and needs to be properly controlled for the next race or someone will be crushed and killed eventually.

@Gus-j: it's a tricky one. My opinion is that he's a grown adult who has the right and freedom to make his own choices, as we all do. It's not for others to try and dictate what people should or shouldn't be doing (within the law obvs). We each have our own path to walk.
