Video: Brooke Goudy on Removing Barriers & Why Representation Matters
I can only speak from my experiences, so here they are! As a white male I'm wondering if anyone would even take my comments seriously. In my 35 years of mountain biking I cannot think of a time when colored mattered to me or anyone who I rode with on any trail or up any mountain. I have not heard one negative comment towards anyone who was responsibly riding on the trails regardless of color, age, sexual orientation, belief, or group association. Is it fair to state that any decent person on a bike just hopes the trails will remain open and safe? I read these articles and I wonder if we are not introducing a narrative that ultimately divides us apart. I was just in Moab, and I saw plenty of everyone riding the trails, and I don't ever think about POC, rather I'm just trying to get up the trail thinking I've still got it. I think the biking community is one of the most decent group of people you can find out there. Yeah Brooke, you go! And hope to meet you someday Brooke, and please know this. You will find that if you are on the side of the road with a flat, bent spoke, and in need of assistance, that it's going to be people of ALL colors that are going to offer you assistance, your co-rider assistance, and vice versa. Personally, I'm thinking that Pinkbike under the new ownership of Outside Mag is only going to look to push this divide even further. Guess a good never lasts forever.

First Ride: Orbea's Rise is a New Breed of eMTB
Having owned a Decoy, I rarely found myself removing the battery for charging, but your point is well taken. One thing that few mention is that a removable batter creates it's own issues. Stripped bolts, bike washes causing issues with battery seals and error codes, and strength of the frame itself. I like the option of the battery extender as well. Guess I'm sold and just leaving it. Glad I sold my Decoy for top $ cause this Orbea is going to cost top $$.

Total agree. Just try lifting a 54lb e brick onto your roof rack. Heck you may ruin your rack to boot!

First Ride: Orbea's Rise is a New Breed of eMTB
I'm SUPER impressed with what Orbea did. I like the idea of the Levo SL but the GEO number really puzzle me. This baby has the right angles and seat tube length. Finally!! Why present a modern bike with old GEO. Plus the pricing on the Specialized is a bit too high as well.

YT Releases New High End Specs of Capra and Decoy
Sweet build, but oh boy will you Enve a 2021 Decoy with a 630 or 700 wh battery, new motor, and such. Think the money is on waiting for all the new 2021's to hit the market. I know, it's just a motor, but this stuff is hitting at the End out August for Commencal, and rumor that Canyon will be getting the new Shimano too. Hang tight.

Yeti Cycles Will No Longer Use the Term 'Tribe' in Marketing
Where does this end? Can we just ask Yeti to stop using the name Yeti? When Yeti used the word "tribe" do you think they in any way shape or form thought, "hey, let's put down the Native Americans cause Yeti is a Superior being, bound by privilege, oppressing others for their financial gain?? Just remember gang, (oh, can we use this term?), this starts as an innocent form of political correctness, then spreads to everyone being offended by everything requiring action. As a family from a former communist country, and having a gf from Cambodia who fled in the 70's before her family was shot dead by the few who controlled the many. Check your history folks. Few control the many. Finally, go by the Yeti HQtrs in Golden as I did, and you'll find many great employees who work to build a quality bike, not put down Native Americans. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pol_Pot

The 4 Best 2020 eMTB Motor Systems Reviewed - Bosch vs Brose vs Shimano vs Fazua Ridden & Rated
I think the biggest issue has been and will be support. For this reason, Shimano and Specialized are king. I can see this will all progress rather fast and seeking today's best motor is rather a small percentage of performance and while it acts up or stops then "how quickly can I be riding again?" Think of it this way, Youtube is filled with so many great channels that have owners spending countless hours and money fine tuning their Ferrari's while other channels promote the easy and reliability of a Honda. Get a Great Ferrari, Landrover, BMW mechanic mindset cause they'll need it. Yes, one is SUPERIOR as for performance and handling while the Acura while not quite up to exact performance par is so darn reliable that you soon forget the small percentage of gain while working quite reliably then when you're out of town say at Downeyville in CA or somewhere in Western Canada broken down wondering, I need this fixed now!

When can we anticipate the face, neck, and earlobe tattoos? Love the look so far, but it's just sooooo incomplete. Common Mike, you've been holding out on us! The real artists get the ones that you can see first. Tat Up Dude.

Pedaling Innovations' Updated Catalyst EVO Pedals - Pond Beaver 2020
Do have lower back issues, and these things help greatly. Other than the back relief, I just love these pedals. The larger platform allow for foot adjustment on the downhills, and you really notice them on the uphill. I have them on both my Yeti and my Decoy. Simply the very best. Oh, the customer service is also stellar! Nice stuff.

Forestal Reveals Its First eMTB Design With Proprietary Motor and Battery
I for one think this looks really interesting, and no matter what you think of e-bikes, kudos to Forestal for stepping forward with this meld of technology and battery / motor development. What's not to like? Expensive, yep, design polorizing, yep, touchscreen that isn't perfect?, we'll see. One is not required to like it or buy it, but shit, this thing is a game changer for ebikes. This changes the game if they pull it off!
