Definitely like to call myself the jack of all trades and the master of none since I can do all MTB disciplines including trials. In addition to MTB competitions, I also race BMX.

Another Spectator has Caused a Crash in a Major Road Race
I'd be beyond mad - you train so friggin' hard for some person just to ruin all that work in a handful of seconds. Yeah, someone is getting Cobra Kai Crane Kicked.

Throwback Thursday: 7 Bikes Turning 30 in 2022
I think the closest to the RTS platform by Jim Busby would be Peter Denk's AOS platform that was seen on GT's 2014-18 Sensor and Force bikes with the bottom bracket moved from the frame to the pathlink or in RTS speak, the cam rocker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZhSLXAUtRI

I thought Katy Winton signed with GT Factory Racing but I don't see her name. Am I missing something?

Throwback Thursday: Freewheelin', Arguably the First Mountain Bike Film Ever
@cwtrials: I'll echo that. I rode/competed on modified and stock 90s Monty X-Lites and a GT Zaskar in a 12.5" frame and they both require a lot more work (I still have both) to do the most fundamental rear wheel hop than say, an Inspired Hex or even the latest GT Zaskar carbon bikes (although these days, it's a stock bike but "stock" trials bikes seem a lot less "stock"). Trials has benefitted from frame geometry, brakes that don't fatigue your hands, rear hubs that engage noticeably immediately and the overall weight these days makes the bikes feel less clunky. And the sport has evolved from the Ot Pi and Hans Rey days where trials was trials where ever you rode but now it can be further categorized into street, etc. Trials may not be as big as other cycling disciplines but it continues to evolve as whole just like the rest.

Martin Maes Parts Ways with GT Factory Racing
@Hogfly: It is a very family-like oriented atmosphere. I had the privilege as an amateur racer who was once part of the Coalition team at Sea Otter about a couple years ago to hang with Joey Foesta, Rachel, Hans, Coach, Noga, meet the marketing and product teams. It was a few very surreal days to just feel like I was part of the team. I love to compete, I always try but most times don't podium yet they treated me with respect and kindness which to me, I know I was very lucky and fortunate. Heck, even Noga would spend time to give me advice. So, yeah, I just wanted to share my experience. As a chubby guy, amateur, person of color with a tiny YouTube channel, the people at GT treated me like a pro-rider and when all I asked them was, "Is it okay if I store my Zaskar here between races?" I hope that provides some insight.
