Ridden & Rated: 8 Mid-Range Downhill Helmets
@InfraRed: Had absolutely no problem with paint chipping off so far after a season of use - Status with glossy paint.

I bought the 100% Status earlier this season for 140€ as an upgrade for a Sixsixone Comp. I love the 100%. It looks great, it's comfortable, fits well (had to get a smaller size than I usually would though), ventilation is ok. Most importantly it just makes me feel much safer, though that it subjective.

Race Report: Central European Enduro Series Final
It was my first time racing in Treuchtlingen, great event. The stages were well done and fun to ride. Hope to be back next year!

Race Report: 3Länder Enduro Race, Austria
Nauders is one of my favourite spots, love the trails there! They could've done without that new "flow trail" but alas, it seems they had to give into the trend too. Anyway - that was my second race ever and it was a hell of a challenge when the cold and rain started to come in. Fortunately all those memories of pain and suffering fade quickly, what remains is the stoke.

Ergon's Saddle Designer: "My Female Colleagues & I Couldn't Find a Saddle We Were Happy With" - Interview
I'm still trying to find a saddle that really fits me. I measured my sitting bones and got the Ergon SME3, which was an improvement, but I'm still not happy with it. Plus after a few weeks of use, it started to creak under pressure. That new one looks promising - or maybe I should just try an SQ Lab.

Sarah Builds A Canyon Test Bike - Video
With my Commencal Meta, I had to mount the discs and the handlebar, insert the wheels and inflate the fork/shock to desired psi (didn't come with a pump though like the Canyon). That was about all, and it worked perfectly out of the box.

Canyon Goes Electric with the Spectral:ON - First Ride
I get where people are coming from when they say that relatively inexperienced people gain access to areas/trails they would never bother to reach on a normal bike, and that can be a problem, BUT - all of the times that I go riding (German alps), I do see a lot of e-bikes usually, but I don't recall ever meeting an e-bike rider on the actual trail, uphill or down. They just stay on the streets and fireroads usually. The only time I had an unpleasant encounter with some dude bros on e-bikes (riding down a narrow single trail was used by everyone else for the uphill, and without helmets) was at a big bike festival where taking e-bikes out for a sping is the thing to do.
