Vic Park Trails EP#5 - Gravity Canterbury Race #2
Dust dust and more dust. Race number two heads down the tight and technical Pedofile Alley, awesome weather once again meant that condition were super dusty, super loose and super hot. Filmed/Edited by Tom Cuthbert. Music is 19-2000 (Soulhchild remix) by the Gorillaz.
Enjoy :D

You can see the improvement on each edit you put out and you've listened to the criticism from the last race edit and built on it. I thought there was still maybe a little too much slow mo but a lot better than the last one. Look at Dirt and MTBCut's WC videos, they have plenty of pit chat and interviews, would be great to here a bit about the track and the conditions.

Also I'm movning out to the South Island next week to ride and race and these videos have been making me more and more excited, shame I'm missing the Southern Champs but will be there for the race on the 20th

It was a nice edi, but not really a "race edit".
I think it could've been beneficial to use some longer shots, and maybe just a couple of short to medium shots, as it's a lot better and flowier to have longer shots in race footage.
Also, there was way too much slow motion, really took away from the edit I think.
Just the way I think, besides that everything was great.

Still too much slow-mo?
Really cut down from last time. Hmmm. Yeah I was trying to get longer shots in, but it's super difficult on these tracks, they're so tight and enclosed the maximum time you actually see a rider is, maybe, 2-3 seconds? Should better at nationals, they're much more open and exposed.

Just keep at it buddy, there was less slow-motion, just a bit too much on clips that would've already appeared in my eyes to already have been of slow and non-impressive riders. Obviously you can't help that, but still there are ways to make a slower rider look fast, such as certain shot positioning etc.
