The good people from Tuckers Cycle Inn gave us a test bike to try out for a few days and we decided to do a ride and review of the bike.Beautiful trail bike to ride.Climbs very well and handles the down section with ease.....WARNING,contains the "F-word"....

Mate the more i rode this bike the better it got as i understood its soul.
It looks ok too
We really have to make some more videos but when we ride we laugh too much and always cheer each other on.He is very quick and hard to keep up to but we were on the trail bikes which is my strength and snowy really took to the small travel bike like he was on the DH rig....
Thanks for taking the time to watch this vid and for your comment

I love it mate!
135mm is perfect for nice fun on the trials!
The cool thing is it eats the bumps more than you would expect!
Do you not know who I am?
I always watch my friends videos from start to finish!
Yes nine minutes was long but I thought there must have be a reason.
And there was!
You guys rock mate!

I know who you are bro...a mentor to us all.
We set out to do a good review rather that a good vid but it turned out ok.Plus if anyone was looking to buy one of these bikes it would be nice to see the opinion of average Joe riders as sometimes the paid for pro rider can give a bullshit opinion and the vids are over produced garbage...
For trail riding i think the Giant is a little nicer but with new bars and decent brakes the Torrent wouldnt be far behind.
Thank you mate....

Really nice videos guys, Aussie looks like a great place for the sport.
Looking at getting my first mtb. Probably going to get a Giant trance x3. But will take a look at an Avanti torrent. Just saw the 2012 torrents in some display day pics and its a pretty cool looking bike.

Hey mate....I just got a Trance X2 about 3 weeks ago.You can see it in my "cable cam" movie.
I was all set to buy the Avanti as it was a great bike but I got the trance as it is a bit better spec'd and the price was so low....If you get a Avanti Torrent you wont be too upset....thanks for watching the video bro.

Did I see a slightly older model silver trance in your shed, unfair you have 2
. Do you notice much difference between new one and sliglhtly older 1 ?

hahahaha yeah mate it is the wifes bike and it is the most comfy bike i have been on.I wanted to keep it and buy her a new bike but she wouldnt be in it.
To compare the two trances i would say the new one has a slacker HT and is a bit easier to jump etc but thats about it.The straight top tube doesnt look as good as the old bent model but there is not much diff in the two....have you got a bike yet mate?

No, the lbs is all out of trances. New ones in maybe next week.
Yeah the older bent tube ones look much nicer imho, but hopefully I will be riding it more than looking at it.
I have sort of got all confused over pedals atm, this mountain biking thing is turning out to be a little bit more complicated than I thought. Easy to understand why soccer is so popular, all you need is something resembling a ball.

Bro the 2012 Giant bikes are coming out very soon so they would be waiting for them.
Good call on the riding not looking,I am guilty of this some times hahaha.
Mate it is confusing and can be expensive getting the set up right. But when you tear down a single track you have to know things are gonna work and stay together. When i chose pedals i went to flat heavy duty DH ones as i am not the most graceful thing on a bike and bash them hard.
Soccer sucks bro, wait until you throw ya leg over the new bike.A whole new world will open up for you.

Coma, yes a very random review of the swing arm.after riding it for 3 hours we didnt even realise the design lol...
Ricardo,Bike feels very strong.Took a while to get the rear set up for us fat boys but when we hit the sweet spot it was great. As for being funny,we left half of the commentry out as it was a bit "naughty" but we think we covered the basics

Yeah, it does a little. I find they look more like a Norco Range or maybe between a Range and a Pitch??

Thanks mate.We are leaning over to the trail riding side of things as we get older and the body is falling apart and there is less bike to get you introuble too.....Its strange riding up a trail but well worth it when you get to the end.
