Demo, I can jump that double, this vid was shot in one day after I hadn't gone riding for a month. I was goddamned tired, which is still no excuse, just an explanation. . That being said, it was meant to be a lighthearted funny riding video, nothing insane, just some smooth trails and tomfoolery. Sorry a bunch of you didn't like it.

who actually decides on VOD??? i always thought it was whichever vid had recieved the most faves........i have to agree with the above, this was certainly not an exciting video, i kept thinking it must get better soon......then it ended

It makes me wonder how some other videos dont get VOD when compared to this, me and my friends made this, www.pinkbike.com/video/187879 which is a bit more interesting trial wise and riding wise, i think its more VOD worthy...sort it out pinkbike!

i was merely saying that VOD stands for 'video of the day', which basically implies that this video is the BEST video on that day.................. and i was expressing my opinion, that i simply could not understand how this could be the BEST video of the day..... and if you read down the list you'll clearly see that the comments are mostly with me on that..... no need to start being abusive to people over their opinion is there.......if no-one ever voiced their opinion, we wouldn't progress as a species would we?

For me a video is 50%(maybe higher) music, 30% editing, 20% footage (riding)

I really liked the camera angles and the high fives gave it a light feel. I think that if you ride a better trail and up the riding level that you would have a great VOD.

i will agree it isnt the best but makes a change from the superficial videos we normally see where every berm is roosted and every jump is whipped, its nice to see something that shows what a day on the trails is like for the average rider in a way that has had cinematic thought

I liked the filming and editing, well done. Riding was alright, but let's be honest, I could ride that trail on my hardtail. Anyways, Definutly a decent video, good job!

To be honest guys (everyone that is hating on this video), they shot this on THE EASIEST WAY DOWN. Its not supposed to be super fast or have incredible riding. What do you guys want? Huge jumps in the middle of a green trail? Or a green trail that you reach speeds of 35mph on? Thats not what this is. As far as I can tell, this is at least a 5 video series and each one shows different trails diablo has to offer.
If youre looking for more intense riding at diablo check out Summer Sessions 1 or 3. Those videos appear to be shot on the harder trails at diablo. If your looking for more fun videos check out 2 and 4.
If you take time to watch them you understand that this (at least in my opinion) seems to be a series. And the video in the series that just happened to get VOD was the one down the green trail. I believe this VOD wasn't given just for this video, but rather to recognize the amazing editing and the huge amount of time these guys must have spent making this series for Diablo.
Take it or leave it thats my opinion, everyone needs to look deeper into things before they start judging. Lets all try to act a little more mature.

^agree super well put together edit, the filming and even the editing for the most part were great...was it the gnarliest trail or fastest riding iv ever seen in a video? no. does it deserve it though? yeah it was very well put together. not saying i would pic it, but it doesn't not deserve it, so dont hate unless you atleast have a better video. just my 2cents

These videos are all Summer Session Series videos, I am the filmer from Diablo Freeride Park. 1 and 3 definitely have gnarlier trails, 2 has Dominion the jump trail, and 4 and 5 were easier trails. The point of the series is to show what Diablo has to offer for any rider who wants to get out on the mountain, whether your ready to ride big lines, hit jumps, or ride fast cruisers.

I highly doubt that was the sole reason, otherwise the entire series would have been put up for VODs.... either way, a lot of people enjoyed it. Message Ian and maybe he'll tell you the real reason.

Personally, and from a not biased opinion, I say this video has a good mix of everything, not every video needs to be insane and crazy, BJS did a good job editing this video together, giving it a chill feel, and a relaxed vibe, unfortunately it didn't do it for some people, but there is no way to make everyone on the internet happy. I enjoy the vid, and i think BJS did a great job piecing it together with only a days worth of footage.

This is the worst vod ive ever seen. the best part of it was when it got over. the song is better than the trail. and your makin transition look bad by wearin a kona jersey. and if your wearin a chest protecter and cant clear a puddle you might as well just sell your bike. i saw a guy ridin uphill today and i thought that was the gayest thing ive ever seen untill i saw this video

Easiest dh trail lol. I could ride that with crosscountry bike easily.. And they have 200mm forks.. Not a VOD for me..

I agree.I am having fun too riding stairs. I am just saying for such a trail you dont need a freeride/DH bike. If you guys went for something harder video would be awesome. Sorry for some mistakes in my english

no doubt you had fun yeh, but 99.9% of the riding vids are of people having fun on their bikes on here, but i bet you wouldn't wanna see them as VOD! oh and as for "that was wank", i intended it to mean "this video is dull as f*ck". Just to clarify. But hey if you had fun filming it, then why worry about our opinions, that's not what its about is it?

I'm not worried about anyone's opinions, I get out there to ride, and have fun, I'm not the best, and not the worst out there, this video got VOD for BJS productions editing skills, i mentioned above that the video wasn't meant to be 'Gnarly, Fast, balls to the wall insane, if we wanted that we would have spent a week filming on BMW and Ripper, meant to be a light-hearted, enjoyable video, I'm pleasantly surprised it got VOD, this is one part of a 5 part series showing the varying terrain Diablo has to offer, check the rest of them out too, the other vids may have riding that better suits your tastes.

I was good but i thought it lacked intensity. it was like they would hit a section really fast, and then not walk back up far enough to get just as much speed for the next shot. overall it was pretty good tho.

They should have not put the dude in the TLD kit in the vid. It was brutal to watch that kid. Dude on the TR450 had some style points though.
