They were driving on a highway that has one lane in each direction. They were passing a slower vehicle ahead of them when they hit another car head on. The person they hit died in the collision as well.

yes i am serious. i feel terrible for the unnecessary death. it could have been completely avoided if it weren't for somebody getting ambitious and trying to pass in a place that was very obviously not safe enough to pass in. its really shitty because he was a great rider, but when it comes down to it, it was most likely his fault, and he did kill another person too. r.i.p. rickey bates.
