I don't get to do much DH riding- this video makes me want to sell my hardtail and move to the mountains. Great feel to this vid- thoroughly enjoyed it. Great work.

Putting this here so someone may explain this to me but what is it with this trend to wear LEATT braces but no form of chest/shoulder/spine protection? I've seen it almost everywhere and it's funny to talk to one of 'em (not true for everyone of course) and they say that they wear it because it'd be dumb not to?

Personally, i choose not to wear any of the above because i find them restricting, and i feel like im more likely to crash whilst wearing them. The LEATT however i dont find restricting at all, and its nice to have the piece of mind that my neck is safe should i crash, and knowing that i think helps me ride faster. I dont think its a strange trend at all, (although i dont doubt that alot of riders do purely wear neck braces because they look cool, which, lets be honest, they do 
)

That was amazing!! The music was so dailed, I love hearing songs in bike flims that I haven't seen used before. The only downfall is that it makes me miss Whistler.

Yeah, a Leatt will protect what can't be fixed, and bulky pressure suits, etc are extremely restrictive. On race day, a lot of guys will wear elbow/knee padding and there are some super low-profile pressure suits that aren't as restrictive...but most guys just don't bother

I'm guessing you've never heard of a broken shoulder/cracked sternum/ fractured vertebrae... but to each their own. I honestly don't find them (pressure suits) that restrictive and only going on what I've heard is that Leatt braces can be restrictive as well especially on steeper terrain.

leatts actually work better without any kind of pressure suit or body armor. they also work best when right on the body versus being on body armor. just what the leatt rep told me when he was fitting mine with a 661 coresaver.

this probably sounds like a dumb question but is that an elbow pad on his elbow? its so low profile it looks like a piece of like cloth, does it actually protect anything?
