Nice bro !! May i suggest....move the saddle forward 5-7 mm, tilt the nose down about 2 mm and try that ride again, also might want to try moving the hoods up about 10 mm on the bars.... you may not have to ditch the bar/stem setup just yet.....pain...it is what road riding is supposed to be ! And that is your first roadie ever ?? Nice first choice bro !
Beautiful bike, day, and video bro !! Cheers !!

Thanks JCMC....going back to a 110mm stem and 46cm wide bar, may sit forward a little and raise the hoods. I can't get the hoods up further on these bars, and I sold the carbon to be sent to Poland tomorrow!

Still going for the Deda set-up, bar/stem, even thinking of going back to a black seat as the fluroescent lime on the frame don't match up with the yellow?

bit of a different ride with only skinny tyres , only been on my road bike twice in the last 2 years and that was scary , used to do 40 - 50 miles sat / sun regular , might struggle to do that now . if we get a nice crisp day over christmas then i may dig it out ..

Glad you're enjoying the bike. It takes me about the same amount of time do do 15 miles on my retro bike with hills and flat sections, so you did good for the first time ride.

I did shit really bro, took me 10 miles to get my mojo lol. I'm used to longer days out with mtb's and felt sooooo lethargic? Age, weight, weather, new bike, new style of riding all played a part in today's ride....It was slippery and never riding a road bike before didn't know how hard to ride the potholes, bends etc....it will come bro. 3x a week is my training plan and looking at new bars/stem tonight, even alloy as they ain't no different in weight than the integrated bars at 480g, and I got a buyer in Poland already....seadevil will get his mojo back, watch this space bro lol.

Buyer in Poland? For the bars I'm guessing?

It will feel weird and you'll be slowly progressing into riding harder after a couple of rides. Guessing the steering on the drops was difficult at the start? As it was for me.

Easton bars are good and light. I'd look at their bars as they're specialised in lightweight alloy.

Yes, I got someone from Poland who wants me to post over there, will it be expensive to send bars? Yes, downhill hurt my neck bro, leaning up at the wrong angle so had advice off a shop to go back to 110mm or 100mm stem with 6 or 8* rise and different bars, maybe 45 or 46mm. I'll have a look at the Easton stuff, thanks for that!

 No worries dude Beer

It might be. Make sure they pay by goods and sell through ebay if you can.

My bars are 44cm but I can't account for what they feel like as I haven't rode the bike yet.

FastDHR looks like a dude who knows a bit more than me, so you could ask him.

Sorry I couldn't help more, but I only know so much.

Just getting into it bro, will get easier in a few weeks and I'll be back on Seadevil form !!! lol.

if you get out every Saturday or Sunday for a few weeks you'll definitely see improvements! I haven't been out for at least 3 weeks cause of the rubbish weather! Frown

THank's bro, I been trying to do 3x a week! Changing the bars tonight as I didn't get on with the low reach of the Dede integrated bar/stem combo....got a buyer so didn't lose cash! Putting on a black seat, selling the yellow for the same Selle Italia in black, toning the colour down to let the lime frame graphics look better! I got Deda RHM bars 46cm wide and Deda matching stem 110mm to put on tonight.

Cheers bro....the bars were shit! Too long and too low for me, going back to a normal rise 110mm stem and 46cm wide bars. That should be an easier ride for me. I can't wait to get out tomorrow !!!
