The Evo is a very nice AM FR HardTail that runs very inexpensive if price is your worry.
It feels more DH worthy than the NS Surge as the EVO has a super slack head angle.
How much does a Meta run?

 I know, Eccentric is 650b wheel size.
That OnOne looks very nice IMHO. How much is the frame only?
Meta is about 270€ or 365$, thats without any taxes, much cheaper than Eccentric.

It looks like tis about the same price as the Meta.
The Evo 456 is right now being sold for 266,50 euros.

Im 182cm and I got the 16"
I like the Evo because with a 150mm fork the head angle is about 65 degrees so with sag, its about 66 making feel great for trail riding.

Now they also have a 456 Evo 650b

Evo 456 looks nice, but visually I like Meta more.

Super, I'm 180cm I think and I'll consider M size.

Currently, I have RS Sektor 140 but I'll raise it up to 150mm removing spacers. I think that it will fit perfectly.

I try to capture the fun of riding in Japan in all my videos but some come out better than others, hahahah This was just a mellow Friday that turned into a FR adventure as it was our first time up this side of the trial. Where we ate lunch use to be a castle that was built about 700 years ago. Unfortunately it was demolished by a samurai who wanted be the top shougun about 400 years ago. Its really interesting to think the trial we are riding was once used to transport daily life. RideOn mate!

 Seeing this for the first time. I agree with Dave's comment. Takes me back to when I was living there on Shikoku. Riding with buddies was just like this. Excellent. Hardtails are killer too. Great skills on the bike and with the edit. Was that all self shot?

 WOW you use to live in Shikoku! Awesome! Yes, I used my gopro and just set it up along the way as we film section going up! Then at the top we bomb down for a full day! Its always a great time! In the editing program I can move the angle looking like someone is moving the camera but just a little!

 what software do you use?

 Im using just the iMoive thats supplied in the Mac computer.
Nothing super fancy but works great!

 Thank you mate! This was a super fun ride! Steep rocky descent on our HT's. Momo use to ride trials so he has some awesome balance skills. I need to film more of his style. The summit is the ruins of a castle. Its really cool and the scenery is mouth watering! RideOn mate!

 Its funny you should mention filming more of momo because today i was going to ask you if you guys could do an urban / concrete edit as me and the welsh crew lol would like to see what japan has to offer for street riding.

 My favorite is the Ragley bikes!
The bagger(steel) or Troof(aluminum) and the bluepig( steel )look awesome, thats what I wanted but they dont sell them here in Japan.
The bagger and troof have DH FR geometry with a 160mm fork and the bluepig as well with a 140mm fork!

But I'm checking for one second hand bro! I just think that with a cool long travel on the front and a nice FR geometry and the bike will be awesome to RideOn!

 Yes, it is! Its funny but a proper FR tailored HT that takes a 140 to 160 fork will ride your trials very great. And best of all the pedal like a dream! ahahhahhahahha There are lots of cool brands out there but make sure you get a bike that has at least a 67 head angle with a 140 fork. The Ragley is cool because they have a slack head at sag! So, with a 140 fork the bulepig is 67 degree head sagged with you on the bike. My NS is a 67 head with a 140 fork unsagged, so when Im riding it actually steepens up to 69. In reality I wanted the Ragely but the NS came to me at a great price and I was able to help support my local bike shop as well! I love full suspension but HT too ride great! RideOn brother!

 A 67º angle is what I have on the Dune and it's perfect, but thats a clever point: I have to look for a HT with the 67º already slackened, 69º is what I have on the Force and, though I ride it pretty much as the Dune or Big Hit, it still has that feel od "pushing" you over to the front of the bike!

 that feeling of pushing you over the bars is what I had on my GT as well.
Its just more of a XC specific geometry.

Now with the head angle, remember on a full suspension you keep your angles as the rear and front both sag into their travel.
So the Dune is mostly a 67 sitting unsagged and sagged as well.

However on a hardtail, the rear doesn't sag into its travel just the front.
So, the head angle changes drastically.
Ragley did a good job at taking this in consideration for the DH FR who wants a HT.
So, unsagged the bluepig sits at 64 degrees and then sagged into 20-30mm of travel it settles at around 66-68 making it perfect for FRing and Descending.

My NS unsagged is 67 so, I keep the front a little stiff to maintain a slack angle when Descending.
Over all I love the NS ride.

But, looking at the geometry the Ragley is awesome because it also as a lower BB.

There are some really good long travel HT out now so you can find a winner easily.
I dont know what they sell on you island but Kona has an awesome long travel HT as well.
Its their FR north shore model that is meant for a 140 fork and will jump and drop like a FR bike!

My blue pig. After a lot of hardtails this one has modern riding figured out. Everything just works. Descending is so good I nearly got rid of my full sus bike. Highly recommend one.

Do you know where you saw the red stuff or how far in the video?
If you meant he little red or pink flags they are to indicate the trial for hikers.
It is a pretty long hike to the top and mostly very steep.
So, the little flags just give you a direction to follow to the top!

 1:32 is the first time and there's more of that red stuff later on.

 Yes, those were indication flags making the trial.
There is lots of blown down trees and weeds making the trial hard to read in places.
Like 1:32 we crossed the river and there was what looked like a trail to the right as well.
Actually in real live the flags were pink,a hahhahahhhahah
It was our first time up this way and the red flags really helped along with the signs.
It took us 3 hours to the top where there use to be a castle that was built about 700 years ago.
Where we ate lunch was the castle ruins.
The castle was unfortunately torn down by a samurai about 400 years ago because he wanted his castle to reign all.

 I love the HT for a fun FR day! It was awesome! We usually ride a steep rocky trial like this on our fully's so it was thrilling to blast the HT through the rough sections! RideOn!
