 I would either go with Liberty caps or Panaeolina foenisecii (haymakers) Those are super common around the west but since this near a wood line in tall grasses... could be some caps there. I would have picked them and let the Tree Hugger have first dibs...

 That was brutal.I hit a tree in a similar fashion out on the trails. The half inch padding of my backpack saved my shoulder from shattering, but my hand broke. Hope your recovery went well.

 this happened to me about 2 months ago at sprain ridge park yonkers ny. The only difference is i had a knee/shin pads and giro switchblade. giro saved my already fractured jaw but it almost knocked me out. 30 minutes later i had a hot soup and a beer.
