It was a very good ride to end the day.
Its has a nice balance of mellow flow and intense riding all in one.
It has good seed and gives you the confidence to go on to a more challenging trial.
It was pretty long the raw footage was just a bit over 10 minutes.
Thats a very nice DH run for sure!
The raw footage ()which Im editing now) on NASCAR is exactly half at 5 minutes long.
Despite the climb you have a great mountain to ride and have fun!
Im still surprised at how many people were there just riding.
We dont have many trails here in Japan that are so open.
Thank You for the tour!
Im very grateful to have rode with you Chris and Dan.
Hopefully in the future we can have a ride just as fun!

Switchback and Horned Lizard averages 8-10 minutes from top to bottom if you don't stop; my fastest sprint down Switchback was just under 8 minutes and I was gassed when I got to the bottom!
Of the two I personally like Horned Lizard. It sort of flows like a DH race course, just not as steep.
NASCAR is short but it's the steepest it basically goes right down the face of the mountain - and it's not a very tall mountain.
I look forward to riding your trails next year!

Never is never, I talked to my mom today and they had a light shower in the morning.
However, yes! The rain here in Japan at the moment is crazy.
We are on flood warning and the river in front of our house over flowed last night.
Very scary stuff.
Im planning on riding tomorrow and its been raining for 4 weeks now, ahahahhahhahah

Great trail and I bet the ride was super fun!!
Much different from trails in bluegrass KY where I used to ride a lot.

Yes, it was very fun.
It has some mellow straights and then some high speed corners.
It was also the trail I said we pedaled up.
Very fun!

@Slackliner - that particular trail is just under 3 Km (2 miles) which is not steep so your average XC rider can mash their way up to the top. Some of the berms are tight and steep but you learn how use them to help climb - I pedal quickly and let the berm sort of slingshot me up. Nikoniko started to figure that out too
If you turn around and bomb it back down, it will you a good 8-10 minutes if you don't stop and keep pedaling. It's one of the favorite training trails too.

Thanks for the explanation, sounds like good exercise can be fun there, I'm just a little envious

Haha ... it is a kinda of unique place to ride. It has just about everything for every level of rider. It's a good training place too. I use it to practice before my DH races - making sure the bike (and myself) are dialed in.
The downside is that it is kinda of small area and it is primarily a hiking trail so you have to be on the look out for them as they sometimes forget that bikers are out there.
If you ever find yourself out in Southern Cali, hit me up!

It had been a while since I rode the Switchback so I forgot how long it was!
It was a good one to end the day on!
