Haha...yeah, deleted a bunch of the dumb comments that I just couldn't stand seeing...not like it really matters, but some kids were posting crap about it only being like 10 feet, blah, blah, blah...
Prob the sketchiest thing I've EVER hit...and we've built some JUNKY hits!
The landing was laced with razor sharp granite sticking up 8", the entire landing is off camber, not hipped, and then there's a 2 foot drop into a knee deep sand wash that wants to swallow front wheels!
AND the lip was built out of sandy crappy dirt in like 20 minutes that shrank every time the wind blew...which it always does here!
Good times I'm happy to have lived through!

right on. kids never realize how big this stuff really is, especially if they've never hit something similar.
have built my share of sketchy hits and obstacles, but this one sound like a battlefield. thanks for sharing, don't see so many riders near my age riding so boldly. Keep it up!

You're still a ways away...but if you EVER get the chance(assuming you haven't already), get your butt over to the San Isabels south of Pueblo and ride the St. Charles trail! An hour/7 miles of the steepest, rockiest, most fun riding I've ever done! And that was right after I got back from Whistler! So many line options that none of my group rode the same trail...mine was mostly a jump/hip line all the way to the bottom!

thanks for the headz up, it is now added to the summer list. I'd heard of things near Pueblo, but nothing solid. Are you near that Kicking Horse bike park that being built (is built?). May be heading that direction next summer. The wife used to work at wind cave, and wants to re-visit the area.

Not that I know of...that's up in Canada, right? Let's put it this way...I'm one of FIVE riders on the East side of South Dakota(No exaggeration, plus I think two just gave it up because I won't built for them to wreck), and there's MAYBE 30 riders in the Black Hills area. And most are converted XC riders so the scene is still wierd.
38 years old and I'm packing up the family and we're all moving to the PNW this summer I hope! Ride while I can!
