Niko, so cool to see yo guys are getting more keen on the steel from Europe!
It was not that long ago when I got inspired with the Blue Pig MK1, now I'm pleased to see you have similar thoughts and ride feedback with those fairly cheap, yet quality frames.
I read most of the comments above and noticed you were keen on the Inbred too - well worth looking at ... especially at the 29er version I wonder when one of you will give it a try?
PS. The build process reminds me of mine BP ;P Sweet vid man!

Than you Koval!
Your HT efforts are exactly whats got me back into riding HT again.
I love the on-one geometry which is very close to the blue pig.
The fact I can ride a 160mm fork yet still have a super low stack and stand-over with a low BB has me excited.
Yes, both the pig and the 456 are very cheep but the build quality is superb!
Im flabbergasted at how well the bike is designed with great attention to detail.
I think the inbred would be awesome in the 29er version.
Slackliner is looking for a nice steel HT to ride XC on.
If my interest grow enough the inbred just might make it to my garage, ahahahhah
Do you think the inbred would ride good with the 69 set up?
It might make the front a little more slack for where I ride!
But for now I will thrashing the 456 this winter and with just 2 rides so far Im very satisfied.
My first ride was on steep rocky DH trials that I usually only ride my FR bike on but I had to test its abilities.
Your BP video is iconic now.
I watched it again just before building the Blue Pig for hiro!

Niko, (we talk now about Inbred 29er frame) yes, I think smaller wheel at the back with large 2.4" tire could be an interesting experiment, just like my 29er with 650b rear wheel.
You may find that the BB will be too low for some DH and rock garden sections, so the right technique (which no doubt you have) is needed and the shorter cranks will be a benefit.
Bear in mind, that since the BB height on the 29ers is located well below the wheels axles, the steeper head angle is no longer an issue. Why? - because your body is more 'in' the bike, not 'on' the bike like with the 26er, meaning you are less likely to go over the bars.
Saying that, you may find that you will be as comfortable and confident on the 29er with 70-69* HA as on the 26er with 67* HA.
Ideally in my opinion, if you want to utilize the Inbred 29er for a heavy duty riding, I would use a 120mm 29er forks and put the fat tire 650b wheel on the back. This would keep the BB height at about 300mm and slacken the HA by 1.5-2* (compared to 29er setup with 100mm forks).
Hope this helps to make your mind in the nearest future

Thank you very much!
I understand what you mean by the lower BB.
This bike too has a lower bb than the wheel axel add I love the feeling of being in the bike.
My NS surge was great but its felt as you explained riding on the bike.
It really makes a big difference when carving fast rocky trials!
If I did get the inbred I would first need to try it out as its meant to ride.
Im might love it at is.
You explained it very well and that makes sense very much.
I can see myself on the inbred easily.
I just have to wait until the timing is right, ahahahhaahah
Thank you very much for the comparison.

It was the first time I could see the dark blue color of your 456 frame and I like it. How come I thought the 456 Evo frames were matt raw only? Nice build and sweet ride, my next bike has got to be a HT too.

Thank you the video came together nicely I thought.
I built the 456 up last friday then yesterday hiro and I got out for a HT ride!
Very fun day and the EVO rides amazing!
Very low BB and the head slacked out feels very natural with the 160mm fork.
I feel like as if Im on the Cherry!
Yes, the raw version looked really cool but Im more keen on Blue and have always been.
The dark blue looks really good with the orange in person.
The great thing about the blue pig or the EVO is both can ride XC, AM and DH FR with ease.
The 456 is also a lot lighter then the NS was!
Im really happy on this new frame, thank you for all the great advice!

I'm going to retrieve my Grossman HT from Schnaittach to see what I can do. I need new forks though, the old Marzo DJ 2 is no good any more. As you know, I'm also looking for a fast XC ride to replace the Hot Chili Zymotic, what do you think of the On One Inbred?

Very much!
The inbred is a bike I too would like to have!
The price for the frame alone is outstanding.
Then the frame bundle section they have 2 options for the inbred 26er.
The build quality on the frame is top notch, I was impressed to the bikes gussets and other important details.
The inbred has proven geometry and with a 100-120 fork the bike should ride to your liking!
I have all ready noticed many very important details to the frame that show the on*one brand is working to serve us necessarily!

This might be a good pair for you, the frame with a light fork, awesome!

Yes, the fatty looks amazing too!
I think though for the price and frames proven XC AM geometry the inbred might be a win win situation.
Im sorry, my last sentence I must have fallen asleep, hahahhahahhahahhahah
I wanted to say the price for a the frame and fork together seems unbelievable.
I dont know is you want the fork they are offering, the rockshocx reba with a quick release.
Yes, when shopping there are many crazy frames to choose from, hahahahhaha
Makes you confused for sure.

FAVED....i love this video.Your new bike is a real boss brother....I love the way Hiro is riding his HT.His bike was meant for him and your bike is just perfect for anything.

Thank you mate!
Im in love, the new HT rides like a DH bike in many ways but keeps its light nimbleness taking it all with ease. This was just my second ride but I feel at home on her!
Hiro too, the blue pig has similar geometry and he is riding better than ever!
Together we will continue to rideon!
ahahahhahah

hahahahahhahhhah
I have to keep my creativity up to par,a hahahahhahah
The On-One bike is just 160 for the frame, very cheep and very nice build quality.
Your trials are just like the ones here in Japan, steep and rocky, but I think you have a very happy fleet of bikes, ahahhahhahaha
RideOn buddy!

sweet track how was the ride

The bike looks very playful! How does the frame feel under riding conditions? Is it firm or is there any flexing felt?
- + 1
Thank you very much!
The frame is very stiff.
I have been jumping dropping and riding rocky DH trails on it in the last week and its been awesome.
The bikes feels like a dual suspension with the long fork, Im really having fun.
Yesterday, Momo and I took off and went to a steep really rocky trail.
I got a little squirrelly on one section when we bombed down but thats because there was lots of loose rock.
The bike is very playful, like the double.
Its easy to wheelie, manuel and even ride street the rear end pops easily.

That is one Seriously Super Slack Steel Steed! this video makes me want to build my 456 back up...

Yes, I think so.

Allright Niko!
So in combination with a longer fork it should be a bit drafty at the rear, but big stability at the front..
Wich is nice!! :-) Price is good though..
I already have 2 bikes up and running.. Wich is also very nice!!

This fork on my 456 is a fox 36 RC2 set at 165mm.
It feels awesome but Im thinking of lowering it to maybe 150mm to get a better balance.
It feels just a tad to long as is but rides awesome so Im no worried, ahahhahah
