 Any sponsored video is a sales pitch. Arguably, pinkbike, as a sponsored or ad supported website, is a very large sales pitch. But is the content interesting? Are we willing buyers? Yeah. For the most part.

This vid is well produced and gives insight into the dynamic and training of a World Cup Team. It belongs here.

I guess I'm not sure why you're complaining.

 I'm with him. This video was already featured on the front page, was made by a company that sponsors PB, etc. VOD should be about quality, not promotion. This is a major part of the problem with PB imo.

 It's a nice video but like shredteds said it was on the front page...that should have been the end of it. IMHO the front page should be news and factual stuff, while VODS and the forums should be just riding and the culture that follows.

 My 'problem' is that there are literally a hundred+ VERY good vids on here that are made by either companies or just a group of guys having a shred. They may well have sponsors and drop the odd logo in but they do not make the whole vid about the company/sales. It's about the riding. This one I feel is the wrong was round. Average footage with a strong marketing message- bored.

Just my opinion of course but I'm fed up with all this bs.

 Fed up with the BS of bike companies supporting racing. Good point. That blows. I, for one, hate watching factory team riders rip trails and collect (a small) income for doing what they love to do.

But whatever man, live pure organic dream. Says the guy with "YETI" in his name.

 Nothing to do with companies supporting racing... That's what keeps them happening (of course). It's the fact that everything is a mindless advert. VOD should be a mix of grass roots riders (home brew vids) and corporate stuff. More riding and less selling.

Yeti is in my name cos back in '98 I rode a Pull Shock yeti DH6. Back when Yeti was low key, now I ride Rotec, low key and still a Lawwill. None of my bikes are part of the corporate machine. Not for any other reason than I like to support smaller brands and ride something different.
