29ers and lycra are gay says most of pinbike members but fill a video up with just that and it will get vod

apparently none of those xc guys know to wheelie and make Braaaap! noises when a camera is pointed at them. But, it's biking, so I still liked the video..

Yeah when the hell did this sport become so hateful? It's mountain biking...If a VOD is going to ruin your day then you're doing something wrong with your time.

I don't understand why the lycra debate. Since when was MTB a fashion show? Lycra is high performance for long hrs in the saddle, it's nothing new, MTB'ers have been wearing it since the beginning, also World Cup downhill skiers etc wear skinsuits and are you gonna tell me they aren't badass?. When people whine about it, it always makes me assume they have body insecurities.

Most of Pinkbike would have hated the 2006 UCI world downhill champs in New Zealand then. Every single rider was wearing lycra skin suits.

Um being able to do a wheelie doesn't exactly make you a great rider... that's every 10 year old. Being able to bomb through trails fast makes you a good rider and a lot of these guys are good. Some of our terrain is pretty sketchy on a 29er with full seatpost... I think I can ride a lot of stuff with my xc bike but it's hilarious how much easier everything is on my enduro bike!

@robwhynot ... I stand corrected.. he got like 3 feet of air off the line! haha. Seriously my comment above was total sarcasm. It's nice to see something different between all the world endure coverage...

Quit the hate, c'mon now and grow up. XCers train just as hard if not more than the other disciplines because it's more physically demanding. I know DH has to have a lot of focus and good line choice and etc to go downhill but these guys climb up and down whilst picking good lines and thinking strategy too to get around opponents. You're not racing with people unless you're in XC or 4X. They deserve a lot more respect in my opinion, definitely not the shit you give them. It's just more competition based style of MTB, not as laidback as other styles. Lycra is proven to help people, keep them cool & go faster (less baggy clothing)... Starting to think the majority of PBer's are lazy wannabes for calling this stuff gay and giving it the crap they do. Well, there's my 2cents, hate or appreciate.

So many hateful people against monster trucks, have you ridden one lately? I put many smaller wheel bikes to shame on a mach 429 built up as a trail bike. XC isn't really my thing, but ill do a xc race once in a while and put on lycra since you're red lining the whole time. I prefer the 29er so far for for all of what i do except pure dirt jumping.
Just ride your bike and have fun
