Good times hunting trails as the werewolves hunt you!
The Snabb looks like a great bike to me, I wonder if my soda also has a sluggishness to it?
I guess it depends on how much sag you run but giving that the made it very progressive that helps out for bigger jumps and drop, which I think is one of NS aims as a FR style company!
Great review and I like the commentary! It's fun for us, even if you don't like the sound of your voice! Big Grin
RideOn everyone! A great group of riders on some fun rocky steep trails!

Thanks niko. Yes mate, i think maybe NS optimizes for the descent despite the intended purpose. The sluggishness hurts if you are doing a lot of xc and trail work which have been. I think Jan is right about the seatpost angle having an averse effect to climbing efficiency. The snabb has a slack seattube angle so kind of pushes you back over the rear wheel..gets more pronounced the higher the seat goes. Bikes like the transition sentinel and scout and patrol feel so much better pedaling cuz steeper seat tube angle.

That makes sense being pushed back more as opposed to upright!
Momo is getting a new patrol soon and he might give me his old one if they send him a new rear triangle. Its been acclaimed for its enduro abilities so I would love to give her a go! I might have to ride it with 26" or upgrade! Confusing! But really the soda is riding perfect for me now and I have worked out my hip problems some. I realized, my butt is weak for taking time off, like you said I just need to pedal more and that has help me come to this conclusion with stretching and finding the root problem. Now my shoulder is feeling great Im stoked to be riding again!

@nikoniko: so good to hear you are feeling good on the bike again! Lately I feel the phraze "you dont choose your passion..your passion chooses you" is absolutely right. If your body is aching or holding you back from doing your passion then that is a huge hurdle to overcome in achieving daily happiness and satisfaction. I am a victim of my passion! Also I think Im going to start brewing my own meads like you. I have a bunch of coconuts on my tree I must use somehow..do you think coconut will brew nicely into a mead?

Ohhhhhhhh Yes! Coconut mead sounds super good brother! Let me thing about that for a second!

nice one! I too felt a bit sluggish on the Snabb E I had but attribute it to a slacker seat angle. when I went to a patrol it felt much better. geo makes a big difference for climbs. I did appreciate the excellent industrial design that NS put into the bike and it stands out on build quality. It almost had the look of carbon even though it was an alu bike. I'm in the process of searching for a new fully frame and looking hard at the GG Smash in carbon.

Nail on the head! I agree it boiled down to seat tube angle. Beautiful and fun bikes though and super robust.

Cheers brother! Interesting name for a great bike on all accounts except pedalling efficiency.
