My very first gap jump :-D Woo go me. lol. I know this looks shit but Im well chuffed. I dont care who laughs. For me this is a big achievement considering how long I have been dirt jumping. (which isnt very long at all!!!)

They are basically trashed now. We need to get a build day organised... a few of my mates went down there a month or so ago and rebuilt 2 or 3 jumps, but nowhere near what it used to be like. I'm gonna try to get down there sometime this week with a shovel.

Its completely pointless mate. They are made out of soft sand which in hot weather turns to powder and in wet weather turns to mush. No matter how well those jumps get built they never last. Plus people insist on ever lasting changing them and making them different. And you get dickheads who just trash em for a giggle.

That's fair enough, but (unless you know a decent set of dirt jumps around here) they are the only jumps with any potential short of riding over to the gulley. I reckon there needs to be signs, etc. saying stuff like 'Caution - Bikes only' but they would only be ignored... Plus chavs go there and wreck the step ups and stuff, I think the only ramp there that has lasted more than a few months is the huge double at the bottom. Everything else has had to have repairs and rebuilds every week, almost. Sad thing is, there is a decent community that go there that would be happy to pick up a shovel and make them really good for everyone riding, but there is also a small minority that insist on just sitting on them, drinking beer and generally thrashing them about and not repairing. Either way, I reckon its about time they became like they used to be, smooth, well thought out and rideable for all skill levels.

i spent all last summer building, the main line got alright at one point, if people didnt keep chainging it they would have been fun. but they always end up just being trashed or rained down cause there in the open. i know a fair few people who would pick up a shovel but the question is will it be worth the effort for how long they last? i doubt it tbh
