if this gets vod i am closing my pinkbike account. Seriously it was one angle the whole time, the same shot over and over.

i agree somewhat LEWSS alot of DH tracks that you see in america are open, packed, fast tracks. But it is definitly a regional thing. Most of the big races are out west, If you look at the U.S Open course at Diablo in New Jersey, the race trail at Highland Mountain New Hampshire, both top notch mountain bike parks the tracks are super rock garden(y) rooty and very northeastern. I would assume that the tracks in the east resemble the tracks in Jolly old England more than the trails in the west. Just thinkin outloud here

The same shot over and over again, boring!!! Gangsta rap on DH videos sucks. The best bit was the girls at the beginning.

what are you guys talking about... gnar? def not gnar, and the production in this vid of a track that was hot, dusty, and relatively flat and pedally is superb. he's one guy, and there's one race. you want him to move to different angles? This was great.

This is true gnar! that was a great day props to everyone who raced cuz it was boiling weather out ther.

ahhh, see this is why America doesn't have any top level Dh riders, the courses you guy use for racing are just BMX tracks.
though the sea otter has never been about the track i wish they would sort it out and turn it into a DH course, the 4X courses at viego and champery last year were more gnarly.
please don't go shouting JD and riffle, hardly the likes of peat, minnar or hill.
bring on the flaming and neg probs

Sea Otter is simply a celebration of bikes, not a DH specific event. There aren't any big hills around Laguna Seca, so they throw together a novelty DH course for the fans.
Sea Otter does not represent american DH racing.

it would of been better if they wouldn't of showed the same part of the course the whole time..!

"Sea Otter does not represent american DH racing."
What does?
Where are the American international standard riders?
Lewss
has pointed out something that me and my friends have noticed so i hope he dosent get neg probs
Im not taking the piss it just seems strange that in such a big country with such alot of mountains America seems to be missing out.

If American DH racing sucks, then why do peaty, minnar, and
hill all ride American bikes? Designed on American Trails?
I've never seen anything gnarlier than utah or bootleg canyon in nevada.

Just go to snowmass or sol vista, you'll have plenty of good racing there, shit that I bet any day a lot of you guys couldn't do.

There are decent places in america, though there dont seem to be as many full on dedicated DH tracks as in europe. Not saying there arent a lot of quick americans though, just in europe there is more of a variety track wise.
American tracks seem to be pretty open/fast/fun to be honest.

ditto to Bman-nothing of interest in the video-lame track, lame riding, and the music's so bad it sucks & blows at the same time! Sea Otter is a cross country fest where dh is a novelty they added after the fact.

dhmental , the american bikes like v10 arent created using american tracks , these wc downhill bikes have been developed over years on the world cup circuits around the world, they are only manufactured in the US. not sayin that US tracks are shit , i've never ridden dh in the US so i'm not sayin anything till i have tried,

k what it is... its a web site like google right, its even powered by google you use it exactly how you would use google. so lets say you search on google every couple searchs(i don't know how many) you will get points you can use these points to put towards like snowboard gear (as in really rad t-shirts, and
and some gnar stickers) its pretty sick and its all for free. just set it to your home page

ya . alot of american made bikes .. and tested here. usa has more djs and big mountain ..its not all about the dh races

Check out Angel Fire, New Mexico, USofA. I grew up there. They Hosted a WC race in 2005, Absolutely fast, gnarly course, Upper section is nothing but roots and lava rock, bottom is balls to the wall ski run and trees, And the fact that it rains almost every year on the event makes it straight world cup material

There is a race here in Socal at Fontana and there are rocks there bigger than your guys VW's and Renaults. There are gnarly dh tracks in America, but not too many WC tracks.
