all that matters at rampage anymore is tricks. people disregard the fact that this run was probably one of the most technically difficult. steep, sharp turns, techy drops and pure style.
Agreed, for as much as I thank red bull for supporting this and other contest´s...........final results are fixed. And this is not agains any of the other riders on top of the podium but this is not and 8th place.
They seriously need to figure out how to splice these head cam videos into the TV broadcast. The helicopter shots don't show sh1t compared to this.Im always so disappointed with the coverage cause it doesn't show the terror the way we know it is.
These POV's help put things into perspective. Every time I see one I think that maybe the judges have missed an aspect of the rider's run that can only be appreciated by seeing what the rider is seeing. Brendan's top section was amazing. I had no clue that he rode something that intense. I can attribute that to how skilled he is on the bike. He makes it look easier than it obviously is.
Way to go Brendog. That was amazing.
They should hook up these Rampage POV vids to one of those ride simulators in Disneyland etc.
Personal IMAX Rampage Simulator!!!
Have medics waiting outside with the defibrillator warmed up and ready to go. LOL
Holy bejesus ! Did anyone else notice the landing appeared to be about 5ft long and that in order to complete the jump, he had to come to a near stop once he was on the other side of the canyon. All of this for a little energy drink. Crazy!
0:38 just shows how steep this is, in just 5m from stop you can clear that step down! Footage is great but we can all agree it rarely does any credit on just how big these jumps and how steep these faces really are in person!
Is it me or does it seem like the last 2 years andreu lacondeguy poaches other rider lines ?? At least all rampage clips I've seen it looks like he asked other riders if he can ride their stuff....
That's because he rules and rides others Rampage lines just for fun. He should have hucked the Big Gurl Oakley sender just because he can. Then maybe/hopefully we would not have to hear this kinda BS from you. The dude is no joke! Who cares whatever line any Rampage rider chooses, it's going to be treat to watch them ride it. WTF do you have against the coolest guy in MTB anyway?
maybe if you listened to the other riders that started this event you would know what i'm talking about. And how each rider has their own build crew and how much they work to get the riders line ready. Maybe you should chill out! no one is attacking your man crush you retard. from reading your other posts you sound like a moron that just wants to argue with people! you replied to my question with a statement that doesn't even answer my question.
It's not poaching if you got permission. Your initial comment contradicts itself. It did not seem like it needed answering. It came across as bashing Lacondeguy especially when you cut and paste it in another article as well. It is BS and you would be hard pressed to find any evidence to suggest he was poaching a line and not riding it with permission. He built his finals Rampage line just like everyone else. But he was riding some of his competitors lines with permission before competition. What's not to admire about someone who rides extreme trails just for fun? He is in no way affecting any other riders Rampage performance. The other riders don't seem to mind him and would not say he's "poaching", so why would a fan?
I'm pretty sure it's a GoPro. The colors are very GoPro-ish. The angle also looks like it was placed under the visor and I saw a lot of GoPro's like that in the actual broadcast.
Unlike you though, I actually thought it didn't look that good. Looks like it underwent some heavy compression for web streaming.
The judges at rampage lack the skill to judge, we need some riders to judge rampage because they understand the skill needed for the lines and tricks they do.
Brendog you defy physics
