Great vid, looking forward to seeing this crew on the World Cup.
But seriously, guys, knock it off… any article with a lady in it and a bunch of members go off like uncontrollable 14yos typing with their d^&* in their left hand. Or there is a debate about whether [insert name here] is cute or not…. grow up, that crap doesn't belong here.
Robwhynot is right... Not only is it crude and highly gross to talk nonstop about Rach's 'hotness', it's disrespectful of the immense amount of work and dedication she's put into racing, and her achievements at large. She didn't get there by being hot, and her work ethic and commitment will long outlast her looks.
ambatt- I'm not defending people who write "crude" and "highly gross" stuff but you can still respect a woman ripper if you think she's hot... that's what guys have been doing all along. That like saying you think Shia Labeouf is hot and you want to do dirty things to him but you don't respect him as an actor... a terrible example but you get the point. Thinking a woman is hot has no bearing on how you think of her as a rider, unless you're a sponsor..
Whatever, man. It's not about what you said, it's the general theme in the comments with any female rider -- this video wasn't entirely about Rachel or how 'cute' she is, yet this comment was the most up voted one... Not about how incredibly much she has done for mountain biking, not for women's athletics, not for racing or British cycling or anything like that. Instead, the comments surround twisting words like 'feeding off' (seriously, WTF?) and 'she likes it rough'.
We get it -- she definitely is cute. But pointing that out immediately is not only objectifying her for her looks, but it creates a theme of focus that's inappropriate for a fellow rider.
Lastly, @scott-Townes, my comment wasn't directed at you; I was simply agreeing with another commenter. I understood your pancake comment as some sort of bizarre, random comedic stab... Which was funny.
Oh I know you're not insulted by my likings of pancakes and faces for plates but just wanted to point that out... which I really hope is the truth for some of these puberty boys... including that dude who's apparently a fan of pretending people are rabbits and eating candy dung from their back ends.
Maybe but I don't think we'd get the quality of WC racing that we all enjoy if they didn't take it super seriously - its awesome that they can be so obsessed with such fine details - wasn't it something like 1.90seconds separating the tope eight rider at some rounds? Just insane levels of skill, passion, and determination....
They run a massive business, they have lots of responsibility, they practically own the sport we love, I personally think they are entitled to be serious. Of course this is simply the persona being shown to the world, real people underneath and probably have a lot more fun than most, you just don't get to see it.
I was actually thinking that he's chilled out a bit and found the fun again in biking and what he does. He still wants to win of course. I enjoyed the vibe of this video just a bunch of people all stoked on bikes.
Don't get me wrong! he is one of my top riders! and of course he have to take it super serious, but a laughter here and there in this video would be awesome! and thats up to the guys who makes the video!
Go Gee!
Gee is the only rider that will injure himself in practice during the weekend and still finish with a top 3 finish. The guy has nine lives and damn he's fast. Tough as a rock also. It's incredible how he can psychologically put a crash away and then Bomb down the next run even faster. It's going to be an interesting season.
For those of you who say he's too serious, remember Gwin a couple years back? He's was just if not more serious. The more serious it is the better the competition and entertaining it is.
Don't mix up being serious and not having fun. If you look at Stevie, he's always having a good time, went to Crankworx, got pissdrunk after worlds, etc. But that doesn't mean he does not put in the hours to get the win
yeah thats it. But i dont see the point, gt released the new and improved gt range with a suspension design incredibly complicated and also rides amazing but then for enduro they go but to a simple single pivot design 4 a all rounder up and down bike. On there website the have 2 categories 'enduro' which would probably be that bike and then theres 'all mountain' which features the faithful force bike range, what i think is there trying to make their successful new fury design (Single pivot) and try and reach out and say that this bike desends like the fury but climbs way better
u brits and Canadians need to think about the big picture. Sam Hill and Sik Mik r going to kick your ass> and maybe even troy brosnan and smiths team mate dean lucas. The aussies r the future
The big picture being two (admittedly great) Aussie riders who are past their prime? Okay then.
I suggest that you stop this "my country's riders are better than your country's riders" nonsense, leave the tribalism for team sports, and concentrate on getting through puberty.
Riding bikes brings people together, it doesn't reinforce petty divisions. That's the big picture that you should be thinking about.
Dude chill out. I wasn't picking a fight I'm just saying troy b came 7th overall, sik mik came 6th and Sam Hill (who u think has passed his prime came 8th) saying their pass their prime is a pretty big thing to say it basically saying Steve peat is going to not have much competive races this year. I'm not trying to be a dick but I'm proud of our Aussie races cause we don't have extreme bike riding that the rest of the world has but we r still some of the best in the world at every genre of cycling
Behave! Lol Sams time has past and as much as I like him sic mik always fall short. It'll be the normal guys again. Gee,Greg maybe smith if he's back from injury. Gwin will be back for sure. Think bruni also. Sorry man. Can't see any ausies taking the title.

Not sure Im serious enough!
