The new frame will have 8 inches of rear travel and with the newly designed and manipulated tubes, the rear shock will be very easy to access and adjust. Jared was enjoying the course and hoping for a non rainy track on Saturday, but if the worst happens he's stoked on his Fox
Suspension and said that it'll do its job fine and it'll be up to him to do the rest.

who cares if the linkage is the same? it's still an awesome bike and i'll be getting 1 when they come out. Iron horse are no-more any way so whats the big deal.
stop bitching ang go ride your bikes! x

looks like a session painted blue imo. the glory hole for me is what made giants stand out and look unique

its basicaly a sunday, except different bb, steer tube, and other specs
  • 6 5
the new giant is great, tinhk it's a lot better than the last.

It's not "basically a Sunday," it's still a Giant in as much as it's using a Maestro link and not a DW.
  • 3 3
yeah that's right, all the bikes have a rear suspencion system, and maestro link that's used on giant, has been for this company for long now, the system is still the same only the frame had a renewal and it look's sick!

 sooo nice
  • 2 1
 are those 721's or 823's?
  • 3 0
721s. 823s would have the special UST spoke nipple interface.
  • 2 1
they are dee trax, look at the top pic. you can see the dee trax design

Seraph, it is "basically a sunday". the only thing different on the linkage is the bent lower link and other specs

"Bent lower link and other specs"

Since you are obviously a suspension guru, please explain how the Sunday and the New Glory are the same?.. If you knew anything, youd know that longer and bent bottom link makes for a different leverage ratio. Please emphazise more about those "other specs you speak of though...

im talkin bout the looks, not how it works. obviously its different. anyone in the biking world should know that no two bike designs work the same. i was tryin to say that if the lower link wasnt bent and shorter, it would look like the sunday, thats all
  • 2 0
The Maestro and DW links are not dissimilar in that the top link on the former is a normal swingarm, not a vpp-style link like on the latter.
  • 2 0
Ah well there goes my fav thing about giants..the pirce Frown .
  • 2 0
im pretty sure that they are going to be close to the same price as this year, maybe $100-$200 difference,
  • 1 1
''its basicaly a sunday, except different bb, steer tube, and other specs'' than its not basically a sunday.....
  • 1 0
to be honest it dosent really look like a sunday, like yeah if you want it do look like one it does, but imo it doesnt
  • 1 0
anybody got any ideas of the price and when it will be coming out? im interested!
  • 1 0
around $5000-$5100 give or take a few bones
  • 1 0
canadian that is so about $3431 for you guys in the UK ( i hope thats rite, not that good at converting)
  • 1 0
 5,100.00 CAD = 2,830.24 GBP
  • 1 0
Its actually an MSRP of 5999$ for the Glory 0(Shimano and Fox bits) and 4699$ for the Glory 1(Full SRAM).
  • 1 0
Where did you see this MSRP because i work at the main giant dealer in canada and the guys from giant told us it is about $5000 give or take a few oh and btw it comes out in 2-4 weeks

Scroll allll the way down! Note that its a MSRP, Dealers may or will sell for less!

I've always liked Giant bikes (most models) and the new ones are sick in my opinion! Unfortunately I haven't seen them in person yet but from what I've seen so far I'm impressed!
  • 4 1
that seat tube angle looks groose
  • 2 0
Fortunately it's a virtual seat tube angle.
  • 1 0
i just rode the old glory(200Cool last week and loved it. could only imagine thats this is just as good of not better, and lighter!
  • 5 2
It looked nicer with the spring inside the frame...
  • 4 0
 i prefer the old ones
  • 1 0
the older prototype '10 glory had much better lines on the frame, not digging how the top tube is super narrow and kinked like that.
  • 2 1
i`ve got an 09 glory and will be ordering one of these as soon as they come out. A lighter framed glory has to be a good thing.
  • 1 0
i like the new design, however not to sure what to think about the cable routing. looks like having both cables hanging under the BB could be waiting for disaster
  • 1 0
Damn, .8 inches off sounds better, and looks lighter than my 09 giant glory dh.
  • 2 0
the shape of the frame is nice though
  • 1 0
How could anybody possibly argue against something like this? I am starting to hold Giant in high esteem I am.
  • 1 0
they use to have an 8 in. and an 8.8 inch so is there just the one frame now does any one really know?
  • 2 1
Well, it was too good to be true. Now a moment of silence for the dying glory.
  • 1 0
 soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice.
  • 1 0
Those new models are actually pretty nice!
  • 1 0
so much better than that fukin glory hole
  • 1 0
I will ride it in 2 days at the Giant 2010 Range Launch
  • 1 3
im pritty sure thats the 2012 faith prototyp well thats what the frame of the giant faith looks like on the giant web site if u go to news it says faiths are back and theres a pic and that what it looks like but black
  • 1 0
Is that a Chris King InSet?
  • 1 0
Shut Up and Ride!!! Giant does what it does best making great bikes!
  • 1 1
Randos been with giant for ages. Looks sick
  • 1 0
 looks more cleaner now
  • 2 1
 all giants are amazing
  • 2 2
Nicest looking of all these bike checks today, thats for sure.
  • 1 0
 the geo looks retarded.
  • 1 0
it is a little lower and a little slacker then previous glorys

whats retarded about that?
  • 1 0
the headtube angle just looks wrong in the photos. seems a little steep.
  • 1 0
its because of the angle of the downtube what makes it look strange, the geo is perfect
  • 1 0
i wouldnt know, havent ridden one. i'm not sure if you know how it feels, but if you think its perfect, sweet. you're right, it is the downtube. makes it look weird i like long, low, super slacked out bikes.
  • 2 0
thats why you rode a supreme dh?
  • 2 0
thats why i ride an M6. i realized that the long bike suits me better.
  • 2 2
almost starting to look like a sunday
  • 1 1
i want one anyone know the approx cost of a new frame and shox
  • 1 1
does anyone know the weight of frame?
  • 1 4
Looks very underbuilt to me. I can see that top tube causing some problems.
  • 2 3
 its a sunday
