Jérôme Clementz has set up his new team for 2015. Managing his own structure, Jey had the opportunity to choose the best partners that share his vision of the sport and provide the best product to enjoy riding while pushing the boundaries of the sport.

Working closely with his main partners for several years, Jey will continue with his major long-term relationships.

Cannondale has supported him for the past 6 years, and has now become his main sponsor. Jey: "I know all the Cannondale team, the bike is working well and I would like to keep continuing this journey with them”.

As a long term partner, SRAM has now become more involved with the team. SRAM provides transmissions, brakes and wheels, Rockshox for the suspension and seat post and Truvativ for stems and handlebars.

Michelin and the team starts a new partnership with tires. Jérôme is happy to work with a French brand well known for the quality of the product and the development. Already happy with early pre-season testing, they will continue to develop more race products.

Alpinestars is the new clothing and protection sponsor. On top of the stock products, they will make cool looking custom kits throughout the season and will work closely with the team to further develop their technical range.

For shoes, the team will be riding Five Ten. To represent the clipless side of the brand and their new Kestrel model.

In addition, the team is also supported by Muckynutz (mud guard), Julbo (eyewear), Garmin (GPS), WTB (saddle and grips), Birzman (tools), Tekday (watch), Opsrey (backpack), Troy Lee Designs (custom painted A1 and D3 helmets), Muc-Off (cleaning kit), and Mulebar (energy bars).

Jérôme’s main objective is the Enduro World Series. He will be also competing at the Megavalanche, some national enduro races and take part at some festivals like Passportes du Soleil, Roc d’Azur and Eurobike.

As he likes adventure and exploration the team will be traveling the world to shoot videos, photos and simply enjoy time on the bike in new destinations.

Already part the team last year, Matteo Nati will be involved as team mechanic all year long with a Cannondale Van and Pits at the races. SRAM will also be supporting the team at all EWS stops with their tech team and truck.

The team and his partners continue their engagement with developing young talent.

Corentin Macinot, will be racing in junior category, the French Enduro Series, some locals events and few EWS rounds later in the year. After a 4th place overall at the French series last year, he will be definitely a contender for the podium and really interested to gain more experience.

Pauline Dieffenthaler will follow the team as a team and road manager and will race select events as well as partake in the adventure trips

Quite surprised not to see he in TLD gear

 Questions here.
1. TLD vs Alpinestars.
TLD also produce protection stuff, why he chose alpinestars?

2. In the the first paragraph is written that :
"Jérôme Clementz has set up his new team for 2015. Managing his own structure, Jey had the opportunity to choose the best partners that share his vision of the sport and provide the best product to enjoy riding while pushing the boundaries of the sport."
So, he has his own team right now?
He choose his own team manager, team sponsors, etc?

3. Before he joining Cannondale, does anyone know what team did he join?

regards.

I have to suspect that Alpinstars gave him the best offer and good for him I say. What a talent, he deserves it.

Michelin will probably make special tires for him. He won't like to ride on tires developed by another racer.

after MAVIC poor quality tyres he wil ride anything

rolls very fast but i rode one EWS and i cant imagine riding charge at extreme conditions, for XC we have so many options
  • 4 0
no that's the only bad thing about it (the rolling resistance) the grip is phenomenal
  • 4 0
Brazilian, you must be thinking of the rear tyre, the roam. The Charge front tyre is a reinforced, 1kg, slow rolling, all-condition grip monster.
