Lewis Buchanan Joins Banshee Bikes Factory Team
The Banshee Bikes Factory Team is excited to introduce a new team roster for the 2015 World Cup season. The team will be lead by two talented and dedicated riders Matej Charvat (CZE) and Lewis Buchanan (GBR). Another addition to the roster will include 2014 Czech Elite Men Downhill National Champion Stanislav Sehnal (CZE), who has scored his top results mainly in his national races, but we all believe that the best is just yet to come.

With the mix of Matej, who has many years of racing experience at the world cup level, with returning Lewis Buchanan, who brings a complimentary set of racing skills to the team, we anticipate some break out performances.
"I am looking forward to another successful season in which we can continue to achieve our goals and represent our partners. It is my firm belief that recruiting Lewis Buchanan will help us to put the team into an even more competitive position.“ Matej Charvat, the founder and rider for Banshee Bikes Factory Team.

“I am super happy to have the chance to make it back on to the World Cup scene after not being able to get to any in 2014. I look forward to working with the new team and opening a new chapter in my racing career and starting a fresh. I have rode the bike for some time now and I am already loving it with the changes we have made in testing. Things are going good and we’ll see how it goes come April.” said Lewis Buchanan.
The team will be targeting the whole world cup circuit, IXS downhill cup rounds, urban downhill races as well as National championships and the other interesting international races.

Lewis has skills! So many Scots haven't gotten a rides on the WC circuit for reasons I don't know. Cunningham, Cathro. They get to some races, but teams don't sign them up.

I think Cunningham actually is on a team (Unior Tools) and he makes it to pretty much every round. Cathro on the other hand doesn't want to race the series as he's concentrating on his business and races in the UK.

All factually correct. Cunningham did go a year without a ride and had to build back up. I reckon if Cathro was offered a team ride after his Orange stint he'd still be racing WC's. I just like to see our own guys getting the support and backup they deserve to keep racing. It must be hard to get team support for everyone though.

Well done Lewis. Head down and work hard this time. Scotland has so much talent. Watching another youngster return to dh this year... I predict some good things for scots in 2015.
