Sunline limited edition bars and grips!
by Simon Paton
Mar 24, 2009
Sunline will be offering limited edition color combos on the popular V1 bar in the 19mm rise and 745mm width along with a lock-on grip. One color combination will be offered at a time in truly limited numbers and then the next color will be brought in after the previous color is sold out.
The first combo of red bars with white Logo lock-on thin grips with red end caps will be available in mid April. The next color in line will be the light blue bars with pink Big “S” lock-on grips with light blue end caps. Future color combos and availability will be announced on the website as the previous color sells out. There is a contest going on right now on the Sunline website;
To vote for your favorite color combination and lock-on grip go to www.sunlineracing.com/survey/
Now initially the competition was only open to the US but after a bit of sweet talking (death threats) they have opened it up Europe wide!
Only one vote per person and a winner will be randomly selected from each color to receive a set of the bars and grips before they are available to the public. Visit your local shop to make sure that you get your favorite color when it becomes available.
The bar and grip combos will retail for around £87.00 in the U.K and will be available through all Sunline dealers - though there will be strictly limited quantities available. Phone MMA Sports Ltd on 01792 467 467 for details of your nearest dealer.”
Weight for bar alone is 311g. Just remember these are oversized 31.8mm
Never, ever clip in..

nosnibor, why would the sell limited edition (as in really small quantities) cheap. the sad thing is the yuppies will buy them
Crap. I have bought mine not that long ago in a boring grey colour. Yet I suppose I paid "only" about 40 squid opposing to nearly 90. I love them bars. 3

Errr... and why the hell are they that expensive.... are they having a joke... trying to pull that 'limited edition' bullshit...
the expense may be from the archeological costs of diggin up these colors from the 80s!! nothin screams weiner-ass shite like these combos. kookas anyone?
kookas...haha! i guess we can thank kooka for something; we haven't seen splash anodizing on any other bike components since.
I'm not really diggin all those wacky colors. I'm usually the guy w/ the crazy rainbow bikes but idk, these ano'd looking bars just don't do it for me... the purple ones wud look kool w/ a black-w/-purple setup but other than that, they're just crazy looking imo loldrop the price guys
there not that much they are the same price as regular v0ne bars
80$ usd for the bars
20$ usd for the grips
80$ usd for the bars
20$ usd for the grips
the price is a bit hiked in the u.k as they bars retail for about 50/60 and the grips 15/20
come to think of it, with the extra cost of anodising and the "limited edition" their not all that much more and they do look sshhhaaweeeeettt

those blue/pink and purple/yellow couldn't get any gayer if they tried. Is this the limited "castro street" edition?

Ahah so true. I can see they running hysterical, lol. They preach how they love the 80's, although they were born in '93.

the purple ones are well pimp, not too sure about the others tho, and that price is a little high :/ gonna be a hit tho, i mean OMG LIMITED EDITION!
the purplr and yellow r nice but i would have the silver and green myslf wen thay come out i will hav them on my bike

I like the green/silver... but all these crazy colours just seem a bit much. I like the little accents more. But still, the Green/Silver, very nice.

cant wait for these colours to go away. Just a fad, and too bad for all who buys them and then by next spring, there will be a million of these for sale on the net.
No reason for them to cost what they do. If I see them on closeout at one of my fav internet sites then I'll think about it...
im tired of all the flashy trendy shit...what ever to good clean lookin bikes...my new 66 shows up with "long live pornstars, gotees, and rock and roll" written on it,... what is all that bullshit. gimme a black and white bar with a LITTLE color...its little things
Marzocchi trying to relive the glory years of being awesome and consequentially trying way too hard?
nothin is "sick" or "epic" about these bars they look as god awful as those tight ass jeans you wear!

id get red ones as im in process of respraying my orange 222 in george cross colour scheme and they will go perfectly but price is an issue
These bars are fugly....and so are the grips! Looks like sunline is sponsoring the pride parade on davie street this year! If you get yourself one of these, don't forget to put the rainbow sticker on your bike too. Show your gay pride!
once agian...you all sound like a bunch of old ladies trying to match up all your shit...im with "heart of darkness"...thas the problem with bikes now adays...way to cool!!!!!! dont forget those sweet ass jeans yall wear, those gotta be matching also.
I feel sorry for you hart of darkness... you dont seem to understand that rainbows arent gay unless you are gay, sam hill is not gay and neither is nico vouilloz... maybe you should get on your bike and off your computer and see the light and the coulours and be happy and smile and not feel gay about it...maybe if you werent so alone in the dark i wouldnt be explaining this! stop bitching just ride!
