ok im sorry if you guys dont agree with this but i think it is clear that there is somone on the other side of the berm making that dirt fly up because the dirt if flying at him from the side not off the back or front tire you can clearly see 2 diferent colours the light dust comming off his back tire and the dark dirt flying up
lets think, DUST is from top layer, loose dirt... so its thin... which means 1. light shining through it is gonna make it appear light and 2. its not moist, so its the same color as the top layer of dirt everywhere else... the dirt in the ROOST is moist dirt from UNDER the top level... so its thick... which means 1. light wont shine through it so easily and 2. its moist, so its darker than the dirt on the top...
it would help to look at the picture and use just the slightest bit of logic...
only reason i get defensive for shots like these is that i have plenty of them and rarely touch my brakes... and thats visible in the pics when you look at my hands, but noobs say "oohh, nice skid, you suck"... which makes me laugh while i'm kinda pissed because the vast majority of the roost if from my FRONT tire... i would love to see someone skid their front tire through a berm and roost everywhere...
and the only reason he got that dark, moist roost is because he was absolutley SLAMMING the f-ing berm!
that takes soo much more balls and skill than, oh idk, riding off a curb and saying its a gap like half the ppl on here do...
blooddog your a fucking retard what you said is possible but it would'nt of created such a great affect and nagelk i noticed the name of the city its pretty funny lol
hahaha well look at here.. we got the king of dirt and dust over here cheetaprowlerdh, looks like hes been doing his studying on all the different types of dirt and dust.. woww.. ur cool kid
dont be pissed because i use some common f-ing sense...
it seems all you roof-faceplanting overly ambitious wannabe freeriders kinda lack that, so i'm just doing a quick explanation to cover for you guys...
oh, and the knowledge comes from actually building my own trails, riding and maintaining them, and paying just the slightest bit of attention to what i do...
What a picture! Amazing rider to do that big a drift, and absolutely excellent photographer to get the picture right on time! Look at it, the cloud of dirt is like half on him!
07250 is a prick theres people who have made a career out of taking photos ....u have to stand in the right spot need to get the right timing the right camera the right distance its not that easy so why dont u take a photo that gets pod and then say its easy to take photos...FAG
I think it’s a sick the rider got so much tail spray. Top marks for the snapper for pressing the shutter at the right time, but the image quality is technically not that great. I have seen much better on this site.
i dont think so either... look at the angle of his front wheel, hes slowing down huge... hence slamming the brakes.... not cool..... no skids allowed booooo this, cool pick.. but no POD
hey cheetahprowler try livin here in fing alaska im 19 and aint got shit to do but try and build big shit and burms on city property when it just gets torn down a week later it sucks ass
i know all too well... i live in the heart of North County San Diego, where the riding potential is just AWESOME, but all the cities are too b!tchy about liability and image that thay fence off all the killer spots to ride and patrol them daily... i f*cking HATE the way this country treats action sports!!!! they b!tch and B!tch about them but never, EVER give us a place to go!
action sports are here to stay, so developers should just build trannies in ditches and on the streets, stop kinking and blocking rails, and just f-ing plan ahead for us to come ride there!
laying a knobby track down here in SD is pretty much taken like murder... it f-ing sucks
sweet pic!, love the way the how he has just kicked up all the dust although it looks soo diferent from what cockermouth is like at the moment! (flooded out for those who don't know)
dont be pissed because you dont know how to roost off your front tire and he quite obviously does...
look where his back tire is in relation to the wall of roost... thats not from his back tire and even if it was, look at the forward direction its going, thats from a moving tire ONLY... i mean sh!t, the dust even goes IN FRONT of him!
faaar from a skid
go drop to flat
i agree with blooddog cuz look at the bike on the side obviously someon is on the side throwin dirt up cuz look at the colors dark dirt in th air and light dirt comin off the tires
to slash one like this(and hopefully he carried speed out of it, but regardless) takes soo much more precision, body positioning, and bike placement... much more technique involved that maaany other aspects of DHing... so yeah, to slash/cut a berm and pull it off with speed throughout is really hard to do... faar from impossible, but dialing the technique takes so much time
PERSONALLY, i said personally, i'm pretty fast to learn techniques in riding, but it still took me about a year to figure out how to do backside slashes/cutties... i ride regular foot, so backside for me would be a right turn... then again, i picked it up in about two weeks once i got my new bike and got off my old POS skyscraper...
oh yeah, sorry we cant build any huge kickers around here without a weeks worth of work being torn down within two or three days...
berms are the next best thing
yep, america does suck, i'll say it for myself cause i know full well
we dont have universal healthcare and everybody is insanely sue-happy
but i'm 16 and have nowhere else to go...
the rider is pro his names adam brayton rides for playbiker iron horse!!! he is the guy in the kewisck section on earthed 5 and he has far more style than anyone leaving shit comments on this pic infact he probably has far more style than anyone on pinkbike!!!!!!
If any of you guys have actually seen Adam Brayton ride then you will understand why his mate would say that. adam is a sick rider, i have seen him up my local woods. he would have a good chance against alot of othe pros.. Keep shreding.
well said sam...adam is a shit hot rider, hes on a freekin hardtail on this pic too. considering his positions in the world cup i would consider him a pro...nice shot and awesome riding
