Awesome lighting here. I just wish the bike by the tree wasnt there. Other than that pretty perfect shot!
i only just noticed the prosthetic leg, wow that adds even more WOW to this sick picture!
POD TOMOROW ?!
POD TOMOROW ?!
f*ck...... and uim shitting myself about doing the big line at my local spot with a smashed wrist this is some serious inspiration
Sick lighting, sick dust, and a prosthetic leg! im loving this shot, and it definitely deserves POD!
great pic... but what's that rider doing there? a bit 'miscomposed', rider seems to just take your attention off the main subject
Just noticed the leg. SO SICK! Definitly the true spirt of MTB and freeriding is captured in this pic.
I have an idea. You should install a cannondale lefty fork in that leg. Extra travel. By my calculations you'd be able to hit jaw drop.
Ha, Jokes.
Ha, Jokes.
Now that is nothin but a damn good POD!! I mean the colors the terrain the way the rider has bright colors and everything around him is dark!!
This pic would be even more awesome without the naff photoshop on the rider.
Look at the dodgy shadow around his right (your left) arm. Plus, his head and an area above the prosthetic leg look drained of colour like someone had overused the dodge tool to try and lighten the colours. And there's a slight glow around the edge of the rider which almost makes it look like he has been pasted in (Though I don't doubt it is genuine). The pic should have been left as it was

jarhead- congratulations, you are the winner of today's "Douchebag-Who-Yells-Photoshop-When-It-Obviously-Isn't-And-Should-Be-Kicked-In-The-Face" award, better known as the daily DWYPWIOIASBKITF Award
Mazekwon- congratulations, you are the winner of today's " 24-year-old-douche-bag-who-talks shit-to-15-year-olds-who-lives-in-a-different-province-and thinks that they made a good joke" award. or better known as the daily "dont talk shit to people almost 10 years younger then urself who live in a different province and think ur all deadly" award
morshutheshopkeep has the only brain in this conversation....my bad to the pic owner for spaming useless shit
its pointless and childless....i have already proved my point and all he could prove is that i make some spelling mistakes.
you seriously have to much time on ur hands to keep corecting my splling...i dont give a shit if i spelled a word wrong.. im not the best typer so obviously shit is going to be messed up.. ur just trying to change the subject becuase ur a f*cking loser... this is my last post im done wasting my time on this waste of life.
And your right i do have too much time on my hands, but i'm at work so i'm getting paid to do this. and that doesn't change what i said if you want i can just tear you a new strip, and be as abrasive as you? you little f*ckin punk, if you wanna talk shit to someone twice your age, your going to get dealt. you stood up for your little buddy who said the infamous photoshop comment. when any photo that is of that level (of quality) has probably been through photoshop. any one with any knowledge of photography knows that, and anyone who should comment on peoples pictures should have knowledge of photography. you have been the one going on rants, and wasting time (this is about the first post in all of this that has taken me about 5 seconds) so although i have more time i use it constructively (in the POD worthy forum usually) giving good critisim to peoples pictures. not gettin in a huff over some guy who is older than me correcting my type-o's because i can't spell, so i get infuriated and type and misspell and get even more angry. so when your saying i'm wasting my time and a f*cking loser etc. When in fact most of my time spent on pink bike is helping people and buying stuff to build and sell bikes to make money it makes you seem really dumb, you can keep giving yourself props and neg proping me if it gives you some justification in life.
and all this coming from the guy who asked the amputee where his other leg was...grow up, grab a can of common sense and i'm glad this is your last post, hopefully forever.

alright buddy thats a cute little paragraph you wrote up there. as for the last part of it about him being an amputee i was unaware of this and feel bad if its true..... and thats all i came to write.
how were you unaware if you asked, that logically makes ZeRO sense? you were fully aware you backtracking pos
i was unaware he was an amputee you f*cking moron....i didnt see his leg and so i asked "where is ur leg" i didnt figure that there was none to begin with and i apologize to the guy for it and i really do feel bad about it

oh! this pic deserves to be not just a POD, but being placed on some magazine cover, or on a poster of a bikepark! POD is minimal award! )))
I forgot to mention the motivation of this guy.. It just goes to show you that anything really is possible. He only has one leg. Your passion for this sport is priceless man. Keep it up.

"this is photoshopped! i know because of some of the pixels and because i've seen a lot of photoshops in my time!"
Of course it's photoshopped a bit, almost all of these photos are photoshopped to some degree or another. However, it's still a good photo.

Seconded here. agreed lovely backdrop but the shop action has let it down.

i think the top of the picture look allrite but asoon as u see the rider it looks a bit corney and jank. nice lighing on the top half tho and nice riding
i agree, i think that the flash, or photoshopping on the rider is a bit much. It's hard to shoot low light, with lots of backlighting, but the rider seems a bit too exaggerated... but the shot is framed well, and if the rider were a little less emphasized, it'd be great.

I'll rasie my hand too...it doesn't seem real. Forgot the contrast boost - just look at the lighting. If the light was that intense behind the rider the front of the rider would be darker like the tree on the right and the bike leaning on the tree or even the rocks under the rider. Also the rider's right arm shadow is going to the right in the photo...I believe it should be going to the left if the suns on the right side. But hey just my opinion.

What's going on under his left arm? Has the rider been superimposed on the background? it really looks like it.
He has a black hole in a headlock between his right arm. Nice pic, but what's really real & what's not? Just curious.

I think the little kids that leave retarded comments like this need to start saying exactly what was done to photoshop the picture. If you are such an expert then say what is photoshopped about it. There are a ton of features in that program. You don't just hit a button on the computer that says "photoshop" and get a good picture. It takes skill to use that program properly and get good result. There is as much art in using that application properly as there is in taking the picture to begin with. It is kind of like saying "that photo sucks because he used a digital camera instead of 35mm". WTF!! STFU with all the Photoshop BS already. If you see something wrong that is legit then make a comment to help the person out but stop saying it was photoshopped when everyone else already knows it was. WHO CARES??!!! It looks good.
To the rider and photographer: Great shot and good use of artistic creativity.

Additional note: my earlier comment was under a comment that has been removed. It wasn't directed at jmacroth but rather someone with a dumb comment about...........well you get the point if you read my original comment.
Now that is one of the sickest pictures ive seen in a long time. Props to the photographer *shakes hand and bows down"
That's a sick pic but how long has it been since there was a POD of a unphotoshopped camera that was shot on a under 500$ camera?
Guess now I get - propped or spammed...

All those who say its "Photoshopped" don't know anything 1) about photography, 2) about Photoshop.
Its a great shot, no filters were used, just off-camera remote flash and a couple of tweaks here & there. Quality timing and well set up. Bravo.

exactly, camera left armpit is a black hole. If it's not a composite then maybe just poor selection to adjust the rider separate form the background. Either way it's a great concept & if it was all done in camera just fix the left armpit area...
bugger all that shite! the guy is sendin it with a prosthetic leg for god's sake... give em some credit!
Cheers to you Evan... keep it real!
