 Didn't realize the way to get pod is to take a photo and distort it almost beyond recognition.

 Dudes, theres an app for iPhone called Tiny Planet (and i'm sure a lot of copies with different names). It distorts the photo to look like you're on a tiny planet. No photoshop, no fisheye, just an app.

 I think it a flip out of an over-vert lip to a landing slightly before the lip, with a weird angle and a bunch of editing.

 Im seeing this as like the opposite of a 360 panorama, where you take photos all around the subject, instead of the subject being all around you. Pretty cool.
