2013 was a milestone year for the photographers (both amateur and professional) of Pinkbike: this season the 10,000,000th photo was posted on our servers, our staff covered every major event, and Sterling Lorence won our third ever Photo of the Year contest.  Sorry lads but I don't see why your giving out about road biking. Im not talking just about the photo but the sport in general. Yeah its not as extreme as the s**t we get up to but neither is Curing or Pool. But I bet the people doing it are happy as could be. I ski and get abuse from snow boarders, I surf and hear body boarders getting crap in the line up. What is the point? Just focus on getting the most out of your sport and let people get on with theirs, no matter what you think about it.

 to be honest, im more afraid of going out on my road bike than my downhill bike. it is extreme, considering the ease of getting up to speed. you where a small helmet and lycra and your going faster then mopeds who legally have to have a motorsport qualified helmet (in this country at least). I would be in a lot more trouble after a small fall on my road bike than a small fall on my dh bike.

 You would be surprised, if you knew how few of the photographers in this list actually make money shooting photos. Maybe 10 tops, and the majority of "pros" out there (whatever that means) are reall just amateurs.... It's about good and great photography, not some magical title of pro or amateur.

 The Laguna Beach PG trail is legendary. And you can ride it during winter. Those locals are so spoiled. Lets get our mean mugs on and face them at California. I'm so envious.

 Cool to see a Laguna Beach trail make it. PGs is no joke and only a handful attempt it. All the trails are prime right now and it's been short sleeve weather for weeks. We are spoiled.
