5 Key Stats From Women in the Pinkbike State of the Sport Survey 2024
"I personally think that gender should be taken out of contract and pay. A lot of male riders get paid more than females because they are more valuable at the end of the day. They have bigger following and they have more marketability and they sell more bikes. The women that sell more than men get paid more than those men." Is that a man undercover ?? haha Very interesting takes for sure, most of them I agree, but I would say more "equity" than "equality" especially on the wages (gender at the end of the day should be irrelevant). For sure the importance of women in teams should be the same to encourage more of them in the team and foster initiatives to support them from the younger categories, because in the end it starts there...

Privateer Bikes Launch Gen 2 Privateer 141 & 161
That, but even the prototype was looking good to be honest... I'm wondering why this design/solution. At first I was thinking of more space within the front triangle, but looking at the proto there was already quite a bit of space for the bottle, tools etc...

Formula Announces 10 Year Support Promise & 2 Year Transferable Warranty
@DizzyNinja: I guess brakes are really a personal thing in terms of feeling, power... But I've owned one pair since 2019 and they've just been great ! Love the power and there's still a fairly good modulation. Not as much as Sram brakes for sure, but it's sufficient for me. Also no fading or overheating even after long descents (5-10km and 1200m vert.) and only 1 bleed (yeah please don't kill me ^^) last year. They just work and deliver in any occasion :) Edit: I've had tektro, shimano and Sram (guides) over the years and tested others (hayes, shimano Zee, Code RSC)

First Look: The $865 Push SV8 Coil Shock
Exactly my thought ! That's why on my Novya there is no external adjustment of the stroke. When I asked, Maxime told me exactly that: "If stroke need to be reduced, I have to put a smaller shaft in it and re-set the Bottom-out/damping setting for the new stroke". Basically without resetting, you change the damping profile of your new stroke (to which extent, I don't know). As well, as said elsewhere, most issues of frame compatibility come from eye-to-eye length and head type (Standard/trunnion), so in the end you still have to send it back to the factory (Novyparts also offer this kind of service)

Pinkbike Primer: Everything You Need to Know Ahead of the Snowshoe DH World Cup 2023
@gally-nh: Yeah heard the same thing. Apparently, he has not prepared as hard as they would've expected during the off-season, and it's taking its toll in the second part of his season (not saying he is completely at the end of his rope, but lack of fitness leads to lack lucidity, errors or worse... Crashes) He's learning the hard way, but I'm sure he can overcome it and become stronger. He has the talent (I guess if Jackson crashed so often last year was also because he had to push the limits)

Hey, great move from Rockrider ! I guess they are keen on investing on the future, which is a great thing, for both the athletes and the brand ! I'm discovering this young lady but she seems to have a great energy and a big smile on her face !

First Ride: Merida One-Sixty FR
Hey Merida, wiring through the headset might be the complete opposite concept of what a freeride bike should be (In fact completely external routing might be the right choice for this segment). You're talking to park rats and other guys/gals sending hard, falling and usually making their own maintenance on the bike (or to rental fleets, but the issue is the same). For racers why not (well I disagree but let's imagine they don't care), but that's a complete non sense for the target of this bike... This thing really needs to die in a short and painful way, and other brands already begun to understand that it was leading them to nowhere
