With big names like Curtis Keene and John Hauer, the Santa Cruz Mountains has been a breeding ground for some of the best riders on just about every racing circuit around the world. With the newly formed Scotts Valley Cycle Sport Downhill Team, the next generation of racers from Santa Cruz is looking fast. After pondering the idea for sometime, the team finally sprang into action with 2014 marking their first season of DH racing. With the support of some big names like SVCS, Fox MTB clothing, SRAM, and RockShox the Team's future is looking bright. The SVCS DH Team plans on attending the Pro GRTs, the Northstar DH series as well as some of the California Enduro Series races. Good luck to them with their first season of DH racing.

Joe Van Pykeren
Joe has been riding bikes from a very young age. Coincidentally, Joe and Isaac started riding as little groms together in the Santa Cruz Mountains about 10 years ago and are now teammates. After a recent 1st place at the 2014 Sea Otter DH race and a High School XC race, Joe has the necessary momentum going into this 2014 season.

Isaac Wallen
Isaac may be known for his skill and creativity on the freeride scene, but has also been working hard on his physical fitness with a recent podium at his High School XC Race. With gravity experience from his hometowns in San Clemente and Santa Cruz and his physical fitness from XC, Isaac will be a definite contender for DH racing this season.

Nicky DiNapoli
Nicky grew up riding motocross and only recently switched to Downhill and Super-D racing. With multiple wins and podiums at the local CCCX races and the Northstar DH series, Nicky is coming into this season hotter than ever with race experience and fitness that he has put in over the off season.

Casey Cunningham
Casey brings a whole new style to the table truly making the SVCS Team very diverse with many different styles. Even though he is mainly known for his freeride style, come race time, Casey can power down the mountain faster than most think. With a podium at the 2014 Sea Otter DH race Casey is ready for a solid season of racing.

Ya, this kid goes tony school. The word he uses the most towards any one who can't afford a 6000$ bike is "f*ggot". Not a very cool guy.

Fyi, I just wanted to shout out to @SANTACRUZ-SENDERS, thanks for the apologies. The earlier comment wasn't directed at him. It was more towards some other guy.

Wallen may not have had the best of attitudes in the past, but I highly doubt any of us were any better. The kid has a shit-ton of potential and a bright future shredding, so lets all bring it down a notch, think about what little jackasses we were in high school and appreciate the video, eh? Anyways, super stoked on the edits, keep it up homies.

I am surprised to see Rock Shox suspension in Fox's backyard. I would think the service alone would be worth it.
