New Freeride Bikes New Freeride Bikes
Hey cats, I came across this site and thought you
might like to have a look. It may be old news to you, but its the
first time I Have seen it. They don't have the most politically
correct visuals I've ever seen, but its pretty tasty. I know that
the chicks would dig anyone brave enough to roll around on one of
these puppies. Definitely not freeriding machines, but you could
always try to give em a little huck anyway, I guess ?? Check them

New Urban Video New Urban Video
Yo dudes, time to bog down the network. Here is a the offseason video http://www.pinkbike.com/video/9839/ . By popular demand, it's not a streaming video so save it to your hard drive and enjoy it for times to come.
All of this was shot in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where in the Winter, biking in the mountains grinds to a halt, and all that keeps one sane is the occasional Urban outing.

Wintergreen closed to mountainbiking Wintergreen closed to mountainbiking
It does not look like Wintergreen Resort in Bragg
Creek, Alberta will go ahead with mountain biking this summer. Unfortunately,
the power price increase has made running the lifts unfeasible this
season.

New Santa Cruz Bike New Santa Cruz Bike
A bunch of people

Many people including Bruce Roberson and Mental have
send in info about the new Santa Cruz VPP bike unveiled at Sea Otter

Pivot Point design, designed by James Klassen and Jamie Calon. Both
Bikemagic and MTBDaily have some good articles here
and here.

Looks like this is going to be a really good DH rig. I can't wait
to test this one out.

Straight from Japan Straight from Japan
I found this link while looking through the back
of the most recent issue of mountain bike magazine. I was struck
by one of the coolest looking (hardtail) frames I had ever seen.
I’m currently in the market for a new bike, so I checked out the
link at the bottom of the ad. http://www.namaikicycles.com.
Man was I ever glad I did. These frames are some of the coolest
hardtail frames I’ve ever seen. The most impressive feature is the
ability to accommodate 24" wheels or a 26/24 combo, and having a
BMX feel due to large frame gussets and horizontal dropouts (chain
tensioners might be a nice option). If that's not enough for you
they've got a damn cool Japanese favor! That alone is almost enough
of a reason for me to buy the frame unfortunately I don't have that
much money floating around.

Note from the editor:
If you can't afford the bike, just get one of the Jerseys or "Tatoo
downtube stickers" Go to http://www.namaikicycles.com/american/Frameset.html
and look in the "stuff" section.

Grouse Mountain gets World Cup Grouse Mountain gets World Cup

Check this out...straight from UCI
The UCI wishes to announce that the 3rd round of the Downhill/Dual
and the 4th round of the Cross Country races of the Tissot/UCI
Mountain Bike World Cup originally scheduled on 7-8 July 2001

in Whistler (CAN) have been moved.

The new venue for this triple event is Grouse Mountain (CAN).
Grouse Mountain is located 30 minutes from Vancouver city
centre. This event is now being organized by Gestev Inc, already
known from the numerous World Cup races organized in Mont-Sainte-Anne
(CAN) and Mexico.
I wonder if the CIRCUS is part of the course Smile

New Film New Film
MPF Productions is hard at work on it's second
film. A successor to Hidden
Pleasures
, this still unnamed film is, you guessed it, bigger,
better, crazier.

We want everyone's help in naming this film. Here
is a poll of some of our film titles and we everyone to cast their
vote for your favorite one.
Also if you have some cool suggestion for a film name post
it here along with your email
. If we use your idea, you get
a free copy of the new flick as well as other swag from MPF and
Pinkbike. (Title submissions are over)
