we never see them climb those trails only descending so does this mean they get helicoptered to the top? and just one other question in the unlikely event of a yeti(not the bike) was to be wondering up those trails would he give way to the descender?

The glacier that can be seen in the first seconds of the video is the Aletsch Glacier located in Wallis, Switzerland and there is an amazing trail that runs right next to it. The scenery is breathtaking, I went there last summer and I enjoyed what was so far the best mountainbiking experience in my life. Pictures : www.pinkbike.com/u/cliffdroper/album/?directtofirstphoto

Only X-fusion has alternative to the Dyad. The bike was designed around that shock and maybe swaping it is not so good idea IMO...Sticker may be the best option!

I don't think you nor I is going to push this bike as hard as Jerome. That being said I wouldn't buy a lefty. The weight weenie dentist in all lyrcra riding the walking paths prolly will do just fine with a lefty. However I havent ridden a lefty in years.....and even then I didn't really ride it on a proper trail. Maybe someday it will be all the rage and we will all have egg on our faces. Kinda like a bunch of 14 year old virgin boys talking about sex, none of us know what it's really like now do we?

I've ridden a few lefty's on demo bikes.They are incredibly stiff, so if anything, their weak point appears to be pussy footing them not pushing them hard.

Word. The Lefty Supermax is one of, if not the, stiffest and strongest forks available outside of triple clamp DH forks. Whether the damping stacks up against other top level AM forks is another question, but if you're worried about the strength of a Lefty, don't be!

It's always surprised me that Cannondale would allow this given the Lefty is one of their primary differentiation points. You'd think they would offer to match SRAM's sponsorship to get him on a Lefty. As a potential buyer it gives me pause and I imagine I'm not alone.

I think they can be happy that Jerome is riding for them, eventhough with a different fork...If you look closer at the jekylls geometry its a bit outdated. I mean its a great allround bike for sure, but not for enduro racing at highest level.

The damping cartridge of the Lefty for is made by Rock Shox, so it's probably not 100% a sponsor issue.

I demoed a jekyll, and I rode a medium when I should have been on a large, so it felt cramped. I went in with a bad attitude, thinking as well that the GEO is a bit behind the times, and doubtful of the capabilities of the pull shock. However, coming down Deer Valley's knarliest Dh trails, I was shocked at how well it descended! It wasn't a "mini-dh bike", or the absolute best bike I've ever ridden, but it did better than my E29, and I could really push it hard, with a too small frame, narrow(ish) bars, and XC tires on it. It did REALLY well on the dh, but with the ski lift I never got to see how well it climbed.
