PRESS RELEASE: Monserat MTB Tech Hoodie

With a classic look and the benefits of a breathable tech fabric the new Monserat tech hoodies combine a casual design with great breathability. With its brushed inside, the hoodie is very soft and cozy. It keeps you warm while transporting heat and moisture to the outside. The tech hoodies are made from 84% recycled fabric made in Italy and was manufactured in Poland. Featuring a classic print and the familiar kangaroo pocket, the tech hoodies are a great companion on chilly days.

With the optional wind-resistant inner layer made from 90% recycled synthetic material, the windproof option protects you from cold headwinds that hit your chest.

The hood is equipped with an elastic cord and can be pulled over the helmet without any problems. Through this elastic cord you have absolute freedom of movement when you turn your head and the hood remains where it should stay. The tech hoodies come in six different designs and three colors. The MH1, MH3 and MH5 comes with a small lettering on the chest, while the MH2, MH4 and MH5 are a bit more flashy with their chest and back print. All our fabrics are dyed through. So when you‘re grazing a thorn bush you‘ll never pull a white thread out of the hoodie.

I was expecting this to be much more expensive and now I can't tell if it's a good price or I'm so jaded by $10,000 bikes that this seems fine?

What kind of savage rides a bike in a hoodie without a full zip?

@Mtmw: Lots of people. Though the people that ride in hoodies wouldn't be riding in a hoodie over $30.

Did I miss the picture of the optional windproof layer.

@Mtmw: I get it from a functionality standpoint. But to be honest, I just don't think zippers look good on hoodies. "If ya wanted a jacket, just buy a jacket" Cool

@tmwjr777: You obviously don't have a finely-quaffed hairstyle. My stylist gets furious if I don't zip on and off.

@VtVolk: Hahaha... Nope. I keep mine buzzed with a #2 guard. Looks the same when I get outta bed as it did the night before. Just the way I like it. Smile

 1) I ride in full zip hoodies, never pull over, because I like to thermoregulate.
2) I have never wanted or seen a hoodie with a hood that goes OVER a helmet.

I have a merino hoodie with a hood meant for under the helmet when it's cold...
I have a rain jacket with a hood meant for over the helmet when it's wet...
Never the twain shall (shell?) meet.......

I have a couple Mission Workshop hoodies where the hood goes over the helmet. I use that feature rarely but it’s great for a cold start of a ride and it gets pulled off once I warm up. Wind and water resistant polyester. One rear zipped pocket. I got them half price and they are brilliant. I wear the cross country skiing too. Wear like iron.

I don't buy hoodies without a zipper anymore for the same reason. Daily wear included, not just for riding!

Love pooping ma pants stuffing the handlebar into the hoodie pocket! Glad they kept that feature

 That's a good point.

Both pictures of the hood over the helmet make it look like it's not designed to fit over a helmet... Looks like a regular hoodie.

Well, it's nothing innovative as many rain jackets (including mtb and cycling specific) have hoods that are compatible with helmets.

The one thing positive is the "windproof" edition this is pretty cool and I'm wondering if they are using Gore's Infinium material as, at least in my opinion, offers the best comfort + wind protection

By the time I need a hoodie to ride my trails are shut down for snow and elk migration closures.
