props to papa Melamed for putting his front wheel in that hole and riding it out like a boss.

Many of the skilled trailbuilders in the Sea To Sky have looked at Ken's rock and trailwork and marvelled at its exquisite perfection

And he can seriously call himself the Mayor of Whistler.

He did it twice too! We had to do another take of that and he was all keen to do it again and almost lost it again! Madman!

@JesseMelamed: ah ok I think I get it, his massive cojones kept him weighed down so he didn't go out the front door.

i'm sure @yoannbarelli could probably draw another diagram to explain the physics

 @leelau: True Story!

Such a good video. Dude is so fast and precise it's hard to fathom. No doubt in my mind he'll be back on form sooner than later, you just can't possess that much raw talent and wierd fucking bike intuition and not be at the top of the food chain. Sucks to get injured but it's a great excuse to step up the training even more in the downtime. Such a ripper.

@JesseMelamed: you could rock a moustache like your dad. Almost a spitting image.

Nice Jesse! I remember you saying you were working on this segment and I've been waiting to see the footage. It came out great man. Proper shredding & stoked to see Ken get recognition for his ridiculously amazing and tireless work on the local trails!

Pictures were amazing, wish the audio of the people talking were on par.

Favorite rider to watch on the EWS circuit. Next season hopefully all the injuries and hard work pay off with some wins! Awesome riding Jesse.

"I did it again" says dad who is 30 years older than me probably, and definitely a better rider than I will ever be Smile what a boss.

Thought I would scroll down and see if there are any pictures. Stunning pics! Whistler has challenging yet beautiful looking trails. Great place to call home.

I only wish I could be as cool as that dad. Major props to him for rolling hard!
Also, where can I get high-res photos of the forest shots? They are perfect monitor wallpaper!

@JesseMelamed: Great!!! We are the guys of Freeride Madeira that have organized EWS here in Madeira and will be in whistler for the 4th next week!! Its a shame that you and Barelli are inured!!

Then there’s my begging my parents to go to whistler

Why Melamed look like Frodo Baggins?
  • 1 0
His brother is a pro too or just works in the industry?
  • 7 0
Dillon is a working guy but very skilled too in his own right
  • 4 0
Like Lee said, my brother is just an enthusiast but keeps up with me any time we ride!
  • 2 0
@JesseMelamed: I mistook your Dad saying both of you got to do what you wanted to and it became the famiy sport. Its awesome your whole family can go for a ride. Your dad rips!
  • 5 0
His brother is currently sitting in 7th overall of the FWS. Some would argue that the FWS is more important than the EWS.
