I really like this slower preview where he stops and shows options etc. over a rider blasting through it at near race pace. Both are great, but it’s cool to really be able to look at features

Yep agreed. They should do pov on their first run at world cups. Include all stops and confusion. Be heaps more informative to us watching.

I noticed Gwin's bike has an XTR Shifter, XTR brakes and an Assegai upfront. Also caught a glimpse of his Fox Grip2 damper on his fork. Could be a good indication of what he's running this year?!

Glad to see this but just make easy trails easy; and hard trails hard. All this accounting for all skill levels on one trail ruins trails... The front range by Denver is evidence of this.

Any race line has to account for the different skill levels of the categories it’s open to. Even World Cup DH trails have to cater for both the junior females and elite males.
I’d agree with you about some of the trails around Denver but that’s a case of making the most of the small amount of new trails that are allowed, rather than a desire to design this way. If you can only build one bike specific trail and your choices are, a blue trail or a blue trail with black options which would you pick. Hopefully that situation changes in the future and the design will change with it.
Ore Chute would be a good example of the end goal where you have A and B lines for a few key features but they are different shades of the same overall rating.
The upcoming trail at Virginia Canyon has a lot of options of various difficulty but It’s the first trail in a new network so has to cater to a wide range of folks while we build the rest of the network, subsequent trails should be more focused.
