I'm David Lieb. Home is in southeastern Michigan but I spend the majority of my time traveling and bouncing from state to state to find the good riding spots!

bigquotesStraight out of the box, the La Bomba is an incredible build. I have ridden quite a few other stock dirt jump bikes in the past and I can honestly say not a single one matches up to the feeling of the La Bomba unless you upgrade a bunch of components.

I set up my personal La Bomba with a BMX style Gyro and a mechanical disc brake for all of the barspins/tailwhips I do. Other than that, I just make sure I run my fork at max PSI with the lowest compression setting, and the middle setting on rebound. Everything else is pretty standard and feels a lot like the stock bike.

Getting the La Bomba out on a huge slopestyle course is always the absolute most fun I have on a bicycle, but I also like a good set of steep trail style dirt jumps in the woods!

At Logan Peat’s “The Backwoods Jam” at Coast Gravity Park I was able to pull a 360 double barspin to tailwhip! It’s always been a dream trick of mine from way back and I’m hyped to pull it!

In 2019 I’ll be heading to a bunch of slopestyle competitions and in between, you can catch me cruising around at Highland Bike Park in New Hampshire.

Does it have a LA BAGUETTE tire insert? Cause that’s the only thing that’ll get me to buy it! Wink

This frame is stiff af. I rode a steel Transition at our local pumptrack when it was new. Had a blast. Found a new LaBomba on clearance. It was SO friggin rigid and rattled my 40+ year old bones. So I sold it. If I ever buy another it'll be steel. Not a rip on this frame, but just a FYI.

I must disagree, I've been on a lot of steel and AL dirt jump bikes and this is one of the more compliant AL bikes. It's smooth enough for dirt jumping yet stiff enough for dual slalom. You may need to check your tire pressure.

I absolutely LOVE my la bomba. Its so smooth and light. I had the 2014 la bomba before my 2018 and the change is like a completely different bike. Granted the 2014 was more of a 4x bike but this bike rips park and just wants to boost everything! I Also won 2 dual slalom races on it this year as well. This and last years bikes are just amazing. I gotta say I like my raw with paint speckle frame a little more ;]

Hey, that's our local pump track in Whistler! It's such a great little community built track. I've spent many evenings there sweeping up debris, and wetting those smooth burms while partaking in a pint. Some of his lines in there are killer. I'd have never thought of them.

'Everything else is pretty standard and feels a lot like the stock bike' apart from the wheels, fork, drive chain and cockpit

 that first spot looks amazing!

I got into the habit of always putting my axle back in the fork when loading bikes with the front wheel out after two of my my friends getting to the spot an "shit, where's me axle!" Big Grin
