Drones filming beach vacation: 4k quality, beautiful pictures.
Drones filming world downhill races: VGA quality, shots of the sky and meadows.

Cinematic drones recording to and SD card are a bit different from an FPV drone streaming live. But yeah, the drone footage was pretty bad.

I was impressed with the drone shot at one of the last WCs. Surprisingly great quality and it helped show how gnarly the section was. This one obviously wasn’t great.

I was posted up at the chute before the grass corner, Vali looked as fast as some of the guys I saw come through. Her bike control and commitment is on a level I have never seen from a female rider before and it was incredible. And then Jewett on that same section essentially just lily-padded it. Doubled into the middle and doubled out into the compression at the bottom. It was fucked up.

You say fastest runs under the title. Video: Winning Runs from the Crankworx Whistler Downhill 2023
The fastest runs from the RockShox Canadian Open DH. So where is Dane Jewett's run? It is disappointing that the actual fastest run does not even get at least a replay. And no mention of it during the coverage.

Watching the race made me miss Robs commentary, the camera work? Not so much. I remember it being better when Red Bull was broadcasting the WC downhill, but this race was pretty bad at times. One racer had their head cut off as they sprinted past the camera which was a relatively long shot. I did enjoy the drone cutting out at the end of one run only for us to see it tumbling on the ground as the racer crossed the finish line. That aside I am glad Red Bull was there to broadcast the race. It was great to see racers who otherwise wouldn't get the coverage and that track was gnarly.

On a course like this, Vali is on another level entirely. Still, I would have loved to see a stacked world cup field on this course

Aside from the jumps, that course does not look fun at all. My body hurts just from watching the video.

 It’s not a good course
