Cool video, but that was more frozen dirt than snow, which is way more fun. 2 years ago we had a Winter like that here; since then its been 1-2 foot snowfalls followed by warm, rain, slush, ice or anything that ruins the fun. This year I have 3 vacations planned to warm places between January and March.
Depends on where in NY and what size tires you get. 5" tires will get you through pretty everything except fresh powder, but I have had really good luck running 27.5x3.8s. When there's too much snow for my setup then I ski.
@ raylatimer You can also use that fat bike all winter with groomed and packed trails. Just south of you in Round Top ( between Catskill and Windham ). When there is snow they groom the trails for fat bikes. The group from there also rides the frozen creeks with studded tires as trails. The possibilities are endless.
oh, did I say it's spring now?
Do I see a big "S" on them?
