i think were doing 1700 for the for the race, and 2400 for the world cups (2010 boxxers) sam looks good on the demo looking forward to seeing how he does this year

Anyone else notice that he's got a custom frame already. The shock directly bolts into the frame. He doesn't have the geometry adjuster on it.

Demo 7s have a 1.5" headtube. Sam Hill rides a custom Demo 8.

about the FD cable line, ive got an 06 demo 8 (the old frame design incase someone doesnt know) and it has those tabs on it. do the new design demos not have them?

diference is as far as i am aware the obtanium spring is the only ti. spring that fits over the vivid wider body. this is relevant as the comment i replied to asked if it was a 'smaller brain' which itisnot, its just a larger size pring than most people will have seen before

It's an RWS through bolt, a 10mm multi-position through axle. It's not thechnically "quick release."

Do you have a reason for calling it a horrible bike ? just curious, have you ridden one ? Don't get me wrong as I only have specialized dh rigs since I started racing. I'm very pleased with the demo and not thinking about changing bikes at all. May be you have more bikes than me to compare.

I think it's good that specialized are getting serious with DH racing now. I can't wait for the results on 09 season and the bike that specialized will develop together with Sam. Would it be S works Demo 8 ? or completely new designs.

Nice looking gear though... me personally don't like the white and red color. Thats just my personal preference...

Yes ive riden one and yes i still think they are horrible. Dont take any offence to this, but i just think they are over complicated bikes and dont see how they can be any good. They are bulky looking and an old old design. If specialized were to bring out something new then id be in full support of them but i just think why have they put him on a bike that most racers would see as a bottom of the line bike. It ruins his image.
